  1. Was the video of the revolution wheel only for the American market then ? We've had 2 carletons with the sandvik wheel which is very aggressive, never had green teeth so not sure on their performance compared to sandvik,I'm sure 38hp would power one.
  2. Nope !!! There is a video showing a ZT1844 with one on is it an option Dean?
  3. Hi Dean ,I see the polish dealer is offering orange and white as well, also there are pictures of the ZT1844 with a revolution wheel / cutter head are these an option in the uk?
  4. Message received ,don't be silly ,the bridge at Acle would be dangerous , there's a river near there! Your post was very funny as usual!
  5. No bitterness at all Ian as you say I don't know you but only questioned the need / idea of putting advertising signs up on the highways land ,you Answered and I replied we did recently carry out works at county hall but chose not to put a sign up.we have a log supplier in Norfolk who seems to be putting many signs up on roadsides which is messy. Yes I am kens son and we've been in business together as partners for 30 years in East Anglia .
  6. i guess that makes it alright then I'll stick a sign outside county hall I'm sure they won't mind:thumbup1:
  7. Might be the highways department Ian ,it is their land after all ,another bit of plastic or somebody to clear up !
  8. Then chopp his thieving little hands off !!
  9. Hi James ,efficient job ,I worked on that group of trees and in the private garden 20 years ago it's a great shame to see those fine healthy trees go especially as they were planted in the 1860s it looks like there was no decay in them as well and your photograph of the trunk looks fantastic , just how a mature Corsican should look like,I always thought they framed that God ugly building well as holkham hall is not the most beautiful stately home ! still the new Earl will have plenty of timber for his new woodchip boiler. Let's hope the replacements do well .
  10. Good choice Jon nice one.
  11. I'm running 2 1 with a 30 inch and one with a 36 both seem ok these were replacements for a 661 and a 880 which were stolen at new year. I like the 661 I also run a 660 with a 25 inch sugihara bar.
  12. Joint ventures are fine but in my experience don't work as someone has to take the lead and with councils carry the can !how do you share the profit / loss? Council contracts might give you volume if you want it but do not always lead to great profit as your only as good as your last tender / contract. price wise you can also loose your hat as Connaught found in all their contracts they passed all the criteria limited company etc but collapsed like a pack of cards . To my mind small can be beautiful .
  13. After my break in in daylight yesterday see thread I could not agree more! The 2 burglars were not invited to be on Tony Martins property or inside it the man was at the end of his tether.
  14. Thanks Chaps ,I'm left with 5 saws and 2 that are in for repair so will be ok for now,I agree it's not really the loss but the hurt they would quite happily inflict getting away ,my daughter had only just left the house. It's the future feeling that we're always being watched which we were clearly targeted . Police were on scene quickly maybe if my neighbour had reported a silver Astra and what looked like a firearm and 2 strimmers sticking out of the window we might have got them ,let's face it they are not going far with a ht131 sticking out of the window just to the nearest safe site! I'm on the look out for any new set ups about as they took 2 climbing kits aswell Cheers Phil
  15. Hi All,yesterday at 13.45pm my garage workshop was raided ,the doors were forced off and the alarm went off not before the equipment listed below was taken. 3no HS85r,2 no HL 95, 1no HT131,2noFS100, 1no MS880 36 inch,1no MS661 30 inch1no MS201tce new model,1no MS660 20 inch sugihara,1no Husquvarna 560xp 18 inch sugihara The low life made off in a silver Vauxhall Astra with a K in the registration in the Diss Attleborough Area in Norfolk with high pruners hanging out of the car window ,the also nearly cleaned out my neighbour an ex WPC as they fled. Any information will be appreciated I will post details serial numbers on Arbsafe in due course once I sorted everything out including my head!! Which after 30 years running a straight legal business is telling me to get out,I know it's only equipment but it's the apparent desperation of them willing to run somebody over is crazy. Thanks for reading.
  16. We have a Man 8.180 around 18 -20mpg 13foot 6 tipper with alloy chip box and barn doors and roof. PMI inspections cost £90 +vat 8 weekly. Good truck we tow a bandit 150 XP behind it it's a good combination we can fill truck in under 1 hour 8-10 m3
  17. We did the whole of the Acle straight,Halvergate ,Reedham Ferry ,horsey Gillingham one winter you get sick of willows ,it's one of those contracts that does the rounds contractor wise until they get sick of it!,
  18. Might be worth checking connections in both control boxes is the machine live hydraulics or electro proportional controls? I had moisture in my electro controls on my old machine same symptoms.
  19. You don't want to be doing that ,it's there for a reason you only have to look at some of the threads on here with reference to mewp accidents, anyway with bypasses and things jamed up it wouldn't pass its 6 month loller test. Best to replace the sensor it's a safety issue.
  20. Hi we have both a Dyna 300 d4d tipper its single wheel 3000kg I've had it for 6 years and it's been a fantastic truck ,the cab is really a 2 man cab great turning circle and it goes like a rocket. We run a Man 7.5 tonner so the Dyna carries timber and logs most of the time we have fitted high sides so it does take chip. I would have no hesitation in buying another. Our cabstar is 3 years old and fitted with a 27 m cherry picker ,lovely cab rides and drives well and is surprisingly good off road as it is fully laden all of the time with the cherry picker at 3360 kg which helps traction. I like it as well as the Dyna so the answer is I would have either or both,I have had sprinters ,transits and ivecos but like the cabstar and Dyna better.
  21. Don't just accept that if the saw is not that old push them ,I had my oil tank replaced,it is a known fault as with several other faults on the 540 and the piercing of the oil tank caused by the chain coming off is not something I ve ever had happen on any other saw.
  22. You forgot Bandit top roller lift system + crush Bandit ease of blade changing with locking pin , and big powerful engine so not too much auto feed drag down/ stop. I suppose it's depends what you want out of a chipper ,there big and heavy but built to last . Just my views I don't sell them but have had 6 over the past 20 years .
  23. Hi I recognise those trees we past them on our way to Toft to do a job at a care home . I'm based about 1 hour away and have our own 27 m mewp so could knock them down in about a day maybe less.
  24. We were on a school site recently where access to deliver and site a mobile classroom was required over TPO beech trees ,PVC heavy duty ground boards were used interlocking bedded on sharp sand in undulations to make reasonably level. 20 ton excavator + arctic accessed site plus other construction vehicles ,it depends on how much weight how many movements and how long access is required.
  25. Nice Tree, Didn't see a problem with the tree when we did it 4 years ago just tip pruned to give clearance to building and deadwood which there was quite a lot of as it had not been touched since construction. Tree Officer at time was quite protective of the tree as it's quite a prominent one in Dereham and Tpo/ conservation area. I've never been a fan of bracing would preference pruning to reduce weight leverage.
