  1. 6 big windblown beech trees to tidy today
  2. Defiantly in my eyes, I've sent you a message.
  3. Lovely piece there, my favourite animal too.
  4. I just looked at one exactly same price and mileage so might be your one It was a total pig, more rust than motor. No boot space quite a few dings and a smoker. She did say she would reduce the price heavily before I asked anything though.
  5. It's near Elgin. Nah the mortgage won't be getting smaller just a standard day rate.
  6. Luckily there was two fairly decent limbs that were holding the weight. Took all that I could off then fitted the winch. The Recovery vehicle had two winches so one went through a snatch block on the MOG and one straight to the tree.
  7. A large ash tree was blown over onto one of the oldest kirks in scotland built in 1140. Grave stones all around, precious stainglass window and a powerline. Climbed and dismantled the head then winched it back into the field with a recovery truck and a unimog. Had to get sse to drop a powerline too. All went to plan with no damage.
  8. This day started 0400 on Thursday and has just finished. Two more to do tomorrow. Had to sort a blown tree on my drive before I could get to the first callout. Just when I thought we were finished get back to the yard and there's another!
  9. Got a new 193 t off eBay. http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/STIHL-MS-193T-ms193t-Motorsage-Kettensage-35cm-3-8-PM3-1-3mm-1-3kW-GRATIS-/251724691994 Bargain and good service from the folk. Just waiting for the 192 to pack in so I can bust it out
  10. So when you quote a job your either £400 more than the company climbing cause you've hired in a mwep or your boss has bought a mwep and to justify it and pay it back they convince the customer it's too dangerous and you need a mwep and that'll be another £400 on top
  11. I dislike mweps and only use them as a last resort. I think they are taking away a skilled art form in climbing. Too many have a go heroes use them.
  12. A couple of pics from an estate today, the writing was on a monster beech so I hope it was real
  13. Aye, when's you give her food in her bowl, wait till she's ate a bit then take it away, sprinkle something nice like cheese on then put it back down. That should stop it being possessive. The stealing bit sounds like a dominance issue. I like to pin my dogs to assert it over them. Harder for your partner if she's wary but there's other ways like going through doors first eating her dinner In front of the dog first.
  14. Try taking away her food and replacing it with different food, so they relate food going away with good coming back.
  15. Got the tree up with the care on the MOG today
  16. Has anyone got one of these? I'm tempted as I need a new helmet Arbpro Galaxy Pro Helmet
  17. 177hp 3 ton ish lift Trailer is 8ft x 10ft

    Rabbits

About 1 in 3 rabbits I shoot up near Inverness has mixy. We lost a hell of a lot through the big snow 3 years ago
  19. I'll still have about 1or 2 ton of smaller diameter stuff left if anyone wants it
  20. To make a vista for a new development. Fought it all the way but the big company won in the end as they always do. There a good 150-175 years.
  21. Really felt dirty and wrong having to take down two lovely yews. At least I know the wood is going to a good home. Plus the benefits of working in a distillery
