  1. I'm having problems getting on to a site. They say my risk assesmnet and method statement is light on content and isn't robust enough and should have more content. I use the Arb association ones and have had them accepted everywhere else. 1-Does anyone have a seriously thorough RAMS I can copy? 2- Can anyone recommend a health and safety advisor that's is an arb specialist I can use? Thanks
  2. Donate to DART international UK. Disaster arborist response team. Your donation will go to guys actually doing work on the ground and not to pay for fancy hotels for aid workers to stay in and have steak dinners http://www.dartinternational.co.uk
  3. Probably the most difficult part, 2 hours work felt like a whole day. We worked from 7-11 then 3-5. Too hot outside that.
  4. Thanks for sharing really interesting. Did you try to apply a bandage first or did you put one on after at all ?
  5. I have thousands you can look at when I get home john
  6. The only way I think this tree can be dealt with is by explosives. Drill a hole in each supporting leg and set an electrical detonator. There is no vehicle big enough to pull it over . Trust me !! You can't cut it.
  7. 3 weeks in total, leave on the 9th
  8. It's all co-ordinated through the local disaster management organisation.
  9. I wonder how much it would be to ship that back to the U.K. Grand Arb truck
  10. Went to a small island called Nguna The last few days.
  11. Work we doing out here through DART international. We've been clearing the schools of dangerous trees.
  12. Yeah I do a fair bit of work for people in exchange for shooting rights and stalking. Just sorted one this week for a grouse moor : ) My best mate loves it
  13. It can lift 850kg close in and has about 5m reach
  14. No, not accurate so pointless. The very lightest 7.5t trucks come in with a 4t payload if you're lucky and that's without guys in them. A hiab will be close to a ton so your real legal payload would probably be closer to 2000kg. Hiab weighs 450kg so your saying guys weigh in at 1.5 ton!!
  15. I guess if you can, have both !
  16. I know these aren't accurate but 3.5 t, vehicle weight with box on and equipment and guys - 1.5-2 ton so that leaves you with 1 ton to play with. I'm not sure if chipper is included in that. 7.5t vehicle with equip and men + hiab - 3.5 ton so you have 4 ton to play with and no heavy lifting/ringing up and all that sawdust.
  17. Still double what a 3.5t can take and there overloaded as soon as you put one bit of chip in
  18. Then stick a hiab on it and you won't lift or ring up another stick again !
  19. I just got off the phone to them, I said I need a white construction related occupation card and I was a horticultural services engineer. They are posting the card out tomorrow. Result
