  1. What is cro ? So when I phone the people tomorrow to apply for the card I can say I'm a horticultural services engineer and they will send me out a white card ?
  2. I needed a cscs card for a job, I booked it and sat the touch screen test. When I went to get the card they said as I'm in Arboriculture I need to do Rolo test as well. Is there a way round this by saying I'm a labourer ? The companies don't care as long as I have a cscs card
  3. It would fit in nicely with my business model of buying sweet trucks.
  4. Oooft ! she's a beauty, do you have a link to the ad ?

    Training

A lad that works for us went on the course with them. He says it was spot on. Defiantly worth the money if you can get full time work straight after. They did make him buy a load of treehog kit that's not very good though. Probably sponsored.
  6. I do about 50m3 of firewood a year, all hardwood arb arisings. Done with a chainsaw and a home made splitter. Would a Riko scd 700 be a big advantage ? Got the option to buy one. Thanks
  7. Booked it through Sibbald, the woman must have just got mixed up. Cheers for the suggestion
  8. I tried them today and they said they don't do that course.
  9. What tm company do you use just now Jim. I usually do my own but I need extra for a big job
  10. Does anyone know where I can do chapter 8 training preferably North scotland Cheers
  11. I've had one for about 2months now and find it heavier, less power and slower on pick up than the 192t.
  12. Varied day, biggest root plate I've seen, a bit of pruning with the 084 and met this little treacle on the way home
  13. Yeah groundcontrol are trying to move in up here. They won part of the council contract. They keep pestering us to work for them in inverness. A good company is WCS always after boys, they do utility and domestic.
  14. Elm to section and fell, had DED, longitudinal cracking and was rotten at the base. First time using zig zag and pulley saver, loved it !
  15. Try getting in touch with the royal engineer combat school at Gibraltar barracks at blackwater. It's an outside chance ! but the type of thing they could do for training/fun.
  16. It definitely will It defiantly won't, it's a lot bigger !
  17. The wee retrive ball won't go through the pulley. There's an option to have a large pulley so I think it's the ball from that kit
  18. Haha he thinks it's black magic !
  19. Yeah I came as a kit. That makes sense it's the wrong thimble and retreivaball. Pain in the arse when you live in the north east of scotland !
  20. No that's all that came from honeys. The hole in the other prussik thing is larger than the pulley
  21. Ah ok so the other prussik is the retrieval shakle? But the retrieval ball doesn't fit through the pulley ?
  22. Yeah I thought the stems might be worth something but apparently not.
  23. I've always been on prussik and my rope round a crotch. After picking up a few injuries and seeing the light I've bought a zig zag and a pulley saver. I don't have any other climbers to ask so I'm asking here. I've watched all the videos online and still don't fully understand the pulley saver. The retrieval ball doesn't fit through the pulley and I don't know what the the other prussik with metal loop on is. Probably a really stupid question but hey.
