  1. Always found a belt sander is better for recovering the edge of a chisel, then onto some decently drenched wet&dry sandpaper for the final edge. Or stones if you're really wanting that suicidal sharpness
  2. I bet his cab is cleaner than most operating theatre's, I know a few tractor tarts like that.
  3. I was racking my brain trying to remember when they started the mtronic as my 2014 is definitely electronic and a newer 2019. Did have the crankshaft issue on the 2014, retired it as a result. Absolutely cracking saw tho.
  4. Isn't that one of the much older MS261 as they've now just got three position start/stop/choke ?.
  5. As the woodworm eats the mpg gets better
  6. I don't like where this yew truck is going. I suppose it could be a 77 year thing.

    IBC's

Chuck then on eBay at 25 and they'll shift.
  8. Why do I feel like doing a Attenborough style voiceover. This is what happens when the beast of the Finland forest ventures out into an open clearing and is savaged by nature. Chattering herds of light footed fergys taunt the beast.
  9. Or give them a ring after a quick Google search, 01372 390010.
  10. Might be worth having a chat with the consulate to see what they can do, it's worth looking at before looking at legal solutions.
  11. Doubtful of it being co2 neutral anytime soon, concrete is 410kg co2 per cubic metre. 5000ton is 2 million tons of co2 before we even get to the rebar and the actual turbine structure.
  12. I still can't understand why they haven't tried the solar from space idea from the 30s. They built those solar thermal things in Spain, simple mirror in space for ultra high powered sunlight and it would provide huge amounts of focused sunlight. Ok it's a bit die another day but worth a low cost gamble. Hell, they can fire a laser at the moon and hit a glass reflector from the 1960s.
  13. Still needs to be ballasted to stay upright, probably to an even greater extent as they're twice the height and I don't think you can use water either due to corrosion. Then the miles of cables etc etc, the more you research and read the more attractive sitting in a corner rocking gently sounds.
  14. I'd hate to even guesstimate the number of insulation sheets you'll need for the roofing!. Saw a great video the other week for how he fitted them practically air tight using a cutting jig etc. https://youtu.be/jaTWMUuTWnI
  15. 30k in central London probably equates to around 10k for us mortals. Maybe it all those spilled takeaway and claret stains on the carpet ?.
  16. Washing machine wise, I always pay extra for 1600rpm spin as a 1200 is barely even worth having when the clothes come out wetter than a fish.
  17. They get an allowance per year as it's a state apartment or however you describe it, can't have Mrs Merkel or Macron dossing it in a student style flat could we 🙂. I bet Ted heath, Thatcher, Gordon & major spent around fifty quid between them on paint in the whole time they were there.
  18. Mitchell or McCavity ?
  19. Yeah, but most heating adverts are condescending 🙂. They seem to say buy this boiler and you'll have this perfect home/wife and kids, whilst the reality is you'll be sat in the dark wondering how to pay off the new boiler and afford your next own brand pot noodle!.
  20. Maybe change the law, so that MPs get to choose a supplier, shame we've not got MFI or that really awful stuff Argos/Index sold back in the 80/90s. Might make them a little more grateful.
  21. I've not watched the link but this came to mind.
  22. Or as a stop gap until it warms up buy a dehumidifier, sticking plaster solution but removes moisture and adds a small amount of heat. A hygrometer on the wall also helps, cooking and showers do add a good 20% to a house. Maybe get a cheap thermal plugin for your phone to see cold bridging.
  23. If you're selling woodchip you may fall into the planning permission will be required category especially with an increase in traffic. You will need a telehandler, possible with a tractor loader but lifting height and bucket size make for very slow loading. Plus chip has to be clean, preferably screened. From what I've read you're problem is green waste, maybe buy a zago ecogreen and make a deal with the farmer. (Plenty of Farmer P videos). I looked into a lot of this myself, whilst I am a do everything by the book or I'll get dobbed in mentality. Ended up processing logs, using the chip for field restoration & saving for a zago as it's considered compost once churned up.
  24. Bluebells are the plant equivalent of cockroaches, might set them back a year or so but they'll be back sure enough.
  25. PIV sounds like snake oil, turning a damp house into a colander and wasting money on heat. To prove you concept reverse the flow on a bathroom extractor fan.
