  1. In their world having the big spinny thing whirling is all they care about, totally forgetting the steel, concrete and the workings all built elsewhere. It's probably cleaner and greener long term just to open a coal pit, build a power station and use it for 50 years than one of these monstrosities. If they just pay off the costs by the time it's time to knock them down, how much co2 does building them create Vs what it produces/offset or however you wish to green wash it ?.
  2. 14 in Spain and 48 in China, Lamprell are also based in Dubai.
  3. I hope that was a group blowing up arrangement!. Like a bukka thing
  4. Is gender fluid a bit like the original tippex ?. Like the sands of time flowing through your fingers.
  5. Probably about as many legs as a snake unless you have it in writing. Nose spite face comes to mind in the greater scheme of the costs of the build, they kinda hold all the cards at the moment. Bite your lip for the sake of a hundred quid or so in fuel. Plus your in Scotland aren't you, they are a bit more a contract is a contract especially regarding property. Dumb thought, why not just offer any of the work guys the apartment for £45 a night ?.
  6. If they're self employed the company aren't going to do anything as they should have budgeted staying somewhere in the price. That's why I asked, if they're on the payroll then I'd blame the company for not atleast making an attempt to sort things.
  7. Are they self employed then ?
  8. Even saying 4 hours of driving each day sounds like a I'm not doing the job deal. I've done similar travelling jobs in the past, they usually had a mileage or driving time cut off. I'd be tempted to ask for a local B&B as it's a business expense. Fruit sport referee, looser gets a bonus round with a wrong way round pineapple?.
  9. They aren't driving 300km a day tho ?. I have to ask, wtf is a sex positive fruit sport ?, Apple ping pong between two ladies ?.
  10. If the guy failed to take the tree down last year at the orders of the council within a reasonable time frame. Wouldn''t the insurance tell him to jog on and make him foot the bill for everything including the neighbors damage ?.
  11. Granted I don't have a clue what people need to earn per day but that's probably most of week with 3/4 guys and hearing the terrain and knowing it'll be involving insurance and asbestos. I'd probably want to budget atleast a week with room for toys, probably closer to 4/5k.
  12. I was throwing you a pragmatic bone.
  13. It's a bit like the whole 22 Vs 177 air rifle thing. The ol' you're mileage may vary, a clean kill however it's achieved is the right tool for the job.
  14. Just wait until tomorrow and the inevitable phone call saying they didn't turn up etc etc
  15. I'd say 3k was a bit of an under quotation.
  16. The HMR is a bit more preferred before you step up to centre fire, it's the crap argument of it's low ricochet. Yes it's a expensive one trick pony but come renewal they're more forgiving on your 2 or 3 for centre fire and full open ticket as you've earned a bit more experience and trust.
  17. That oak looked like it contained a lot of metal looking at the staining, even cheap Bulgarians draw the line somewhere!. There's agri style and then bubba agri style, think that might have been bubba or atleast his UK cousin.
  18. Would the guilty party be in the background holding his head down in shame 😉
  19. Yeap, i like simple scopes and knowing your holdovers.
  20. An none of this parallax adjustment stuff to get in the way either 🙂.
  21. I've watched plenty of "bloke on the range" for the practical rifle shooting. But for utter shooting skill it's got to be Mark Ripley.
  22. Practical rifle, target shooting.
  23. I've a couple of CZ 455 thumbhole, a bit agricultural but cheap, cheerful and reliable rimfires that can be had in fluted or heavy barrels if you look around. Had been keeping an eye on a 556, maybe a mossberg MVP. But think I'll wait until the thermal scope prices drop a little beforehand.
  24. Either someone's pulling my plank or I need a link 🙂. Don't think I've ever had anything hear the bullet or pellet between pressing the trigger and and it hitting it's mark. What's the point of a single shot AR.
