  1. Well you were asking a year ago about the same brand and mysteriously again, so yes it's relevant. For £180, why not be the guinea pig.
  2. Begs the question, what have you been using for the last 12 months!.
  3. It was a long while ago I'll admit, six years atleast, it's an ancient 1960s model. But an oil fired aga is just like throwing your money out of a window as it does mean rebuilding the internals. If it's costing too much, get an oil boiler and keep the beasty as a feature.
  4. Try wood wasp if you're in the UK.
  5. HT 135 Petrol Pole Pruner - Powerful, professional telescopic pole pruner with lightweight magnesium gearbox WWW.STIHL.CO.UK HT 135 petrol pole pruner with telescopic shaft ✓ Sawing branches at a height of 5 m ✓ STIHL 4-MIX® engine... Details are in the cutting attachment section.
  6. Do you mean an Oil conversion?. It's probably cheaper just to keep burning anthracite coal, whilst it should preferably be coke. From memory our old Aga in the farmhouse used about a sack a week for all the cooking and hot water around £8-12 a week Vs from what I've read around 50 litres of oil a week.
  7. Thought the term was watermelons, green on the outside and red on the inside. I would be interested in knowing the global impact of not sorting out the Aral sea. Sod UK agriculture being the problem when a litteral inland ocean is gone.
  8. Look at the numbers - 70% of UK land in intensive agriculture, 56% species denudation. You don't have to be Sir John Curtice to run the numbers. Erm, wtf is that actually supposed to mean?. If it means that field of beans has zero other plants to steal it's nutrients, erm yes.
  9. If Kevin wants to argue a specific point that's fine, but we'll be here until the end of days if you're wanting to dissect every bs statement from Monbiot.
  10. Only really applies to open fireplaces
  11. I'd believe the farming forum over that load of farm manure.
  12. Are you supposed to slice that or mash it ?.
  13. Well half the stuff I hear he's written is mostly recycled provocative trash, maybe it's actually a fake picture with articles written by AI.
  14. Why is it always Monbiot always being the virtue signalling arse. He's like the older aged version of Owen Jones, hark the next tragedy whilst at the same time being completely two faced. Another prime example of why not to read the Guardian, leave the publication alone until they're homeless begging on Oxford Circus.
  15. It's tempting to say poacher turned gamekeeper, but no.
  16. I would love to see the waste in a long list, money they could have just said no we won't tax you as much. New for 2023, a campaign highlighting stopping doors banging or the perils of putting one foot infront of each other. Maybe a ministry of funny walks, but I have a bad feeling they would actually create one!.
  17. Sure it wasn't a hair dye accident, like blonde turning green ?.
  18. I didn't want to say it, but I thought that would be the idea of a never ending cycle of buy a new one and live with the torture of being always ringing about the warranty.
  19. And what happens when you're warranty is done and you have to fork out of your own pocket?
  20. Might not have got out of second gear, but bomb proof and reliable.
  21. There was a Guy Martin thing ages ago talking about trucks and the newer engine stuff. He said something like a modern Diesel hgv injector fires 14 times per stroke to improve emmisons and do less mpg than the late 80s and the old mechanical diesels.
  22. Yeah I get that part, but surely that's a start point for tracking?. Kinda why I asked.
  23. I do have a question tho, whenever I buy say a Stihl product. They do fill in details which I assume go to Stihl, does that have any success?
  24. Why not just take him for an afternoon at a indoor climbing place, as a climber I guess you're qualified enough to be the instructor. Safer, warmer and atleast he gets a taste for heights before spending money on gear and training.
  25. Ooh a smart crayon, Bluetooth & Alexa ?.
