  1. Nothing wrong with Saturn knives if you are just buying chipper blades, it all goes very wrong with collection on sharpens and customer care with returned products. Had problems with collections, communications and getting refunds on faulty goods. Which reminds me they still owe me about £150 Bob
  2. A field shelter our lads knocked up for a customer, he wanted an "old" look so sourced a load of big beams from a reclamation yard.
  3. Well done Saul . Bob
  4. Goblins are chomping through the "summer" logs
  5. Shame about the colour Bob
  6. Fit quiet ones then Bob
  7. Doesn't work like that Paul , we make up our own. The back of the plate is sticky, the numbers/letters are dry and then the backing front/back is then rollered on. The only way is to glue a pair together .
  8. Its a Delica Ian and does a Bear shit in the woods Bob
  9. Got a fair bit of lawn prep to do so bought a stone burier for the compact tractor, got looking at the Winton stuff ( which used to be crap) and they seem to have got their act together . Beefed up the product a lot so bought a hammer flail as well. Its out on a job this week so will report back Bob
  10. Couldn't find another manual 5speed, been on the lookout for about a year and they seem to be as rare as rocking horse shite. I am chucking all the seats out like the other one but this time going to try and condense all the tools into low profile pull out draws. So it doesn't end up like the other one
  11. Our old Hilux tipper refuses to die, way to rough to go on the road so its been used as a dumper. Still runs really well and refuses to die, really has been an incredible little truck Off for a new life soon in a far off land And I bought me a another kennel/mobile tool box/tow barge. see how long it takes the dogs to eat this one
  12. I just added an extra two forks onto the carriage of our FDI and that can load 4`+ diameter sticks as well as brash or chogs, its also easy to pull out from under a big stick. Bob
  13. Al has never been as busy since he painted his truck blue Right now we could do with a decent forestry tractor driver. a climber, two groundies , two 360 drivers, a fitter, a groundworker and an extra office bod. Interviewing some this week but competent staff around here are very thin on the ground. Bob
  14. All to do with my passtime of mechanical madness Andrew, been so busy of late I have not had any time to finish the mancave extension which will house some of the said madness but with luck I may have it finished in a few weeks. you are more than welcome to pop down for a gander when its done. Bob Mancave extension
  15. Probably don't mind dealing with their agents though, that story would of had a price Bob
  16. I am not sure whats going on but we are flat out and have been for a long time now, inquiries dropped off a bit in the new year but we had work so far ahead it made no difference. Tricky Dickie is flat out all week pricing and we dont advertise Bob
  17. Cupboards, draws and pigeon holes. Get as many as you can squeeze in before you start because its almost impossible once you start to use it. Cave http://s1116.photobucket.com/user/mypickys/slideshow/mancave Also worth knocking up simple gadgets like below for working on saws rather than chasing them around a bench
  18. I cant think of anyone that would trawl through facebook looking for a tradesman Bob
  19. Subscribed Saul, well done Link https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1LIU7rprciiooJOkZ87R5A
  20. Kin hurry then we could use a service layer
  21. I told you before we would both end up in jail In fairness to the assessors some can spot those with fully charged self winding watches and on group assessments will spend the time necessary ironing out problems/bad habits . I was gas bagging with an old school assessor last time out with a group and his pet hate was cutters standing at the base of tree aimlessly gorping up at the canopy before cutting a gob, wound him up a treat . He was of the opinion the tree should have been clocked from afar and a felling plan should have been firmly in the head long before getting to the base of the tree , standing at the base of a tree staring skyward was worthless. Bob
  22. Around here the reminiscing, tea drinking and talking bollocks takes five hours Bob
  23. Exactly that, everyone values a stick except the only person that will actually buy it . Run it into a sawmill and they will all suck through their teeth , doubt if it would cover the transport. Bob
  24. Normally use synthetic on big area`s , it stays wet long enough to get right around and back to the start so you dont get that big dusty/dry join. Also worth getting a pressure pot so you dont have to keep stopping and filling the gun. this one holds about two gallons. Bob
