  2. Some people are so f***ing thick!!! Just at the petrol garage and two old bill are sat staring at a woman who was pumping petrol and smoking at the same time. Like really, wtf! I'm thinking they are gonna nick her in a minute!! Proper dangerous and old bill are just sitting there. I go into the shop and just as I was about to leave, I hear someone screaming "look outside" the woman's arm was on fire!!! She was running around like a nutter waving her arm around and just going nuts. Everyone runs out the shop. One copper is trying to pat her out and the other one sprayed her with an extinguisher. Then proceed to nick her!!! Handcuffs the lot! I couldn't help myself and asked em why the f**k they were nicking her. wasn't catching her arm on fire punishment enough? I swear to god the copper looked me dead in the eye and said, "For waving a Firearm" Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

  4. Think I'm gonna leave it for a bit and hope he's still got it in a few months, as ive just bought a tractor and should really get that earning it's keep before I start charging into more projects. I have a feeling it's not goin anywhere for a while anyway. Thanks again Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  5. Nice, was on a job couple of weeks ago and my old m type rolled in, fully restored, it had Perkins phaser in and the 070 on it when sold but not winch or blasting equipment and he's put a new cab on: Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  6. Thanks for replies, I did think at 500 it would be worth a punt but the guy was obviously a hoarder (3acres of machinery and sheds full of gear/tat up to the eaves) and he said he'd never sold anything in 20 years but would put together any forestry/arb equipment as he was never going back into the industry (10" chipper, trailed 70' mewp, peelers, pointer, grab/rotaters etc). I could've spent a good day poking about in the brambles![emoji849] Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  7. Got the space but not the time at the mo he wants 2k for it, as I said seems a bit dear, but I know sweet fa about them, and it's a good lump to spend and then stick in the shed til I do have time. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  8. Think most of em have 'power down' on the 3pl, enough to lift the back end n change the wheels, an option you'd pay a lot extra for on most brands Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  9. While picking up mates new truck yesterday was offered this Vimek stroke processor: It's been stood up for about 7yrs, was fully functional when dropped off the 3pl but he said cut off bar n chain will be knackered. Seemed a bit dear for something that's sat for so long, I've toyed with the idea of this sort of thing before but some of these old machines look slower than motor manual felling, but could be good when winching in off boggy ground? Opinions appreciated Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

  11. Sound advice, I planted 12 trees a few years ago and the only ones I can remember are a quince, a medlar and a russet! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  12. A very interesting book that, but I'd go with weeping ash as it looks the same as one my cousin planted several yrs ago, not a fan of em personally Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

  16. Stolen to order, surely? Bastards, I live in perpetual fear of being robbed, in spite of pretty much living on top of all my kit. Whenever I go away overnight or on holiday I barely sleep Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  17. Mine came as part of a kit with a standard 5m orange (4t?) ratchet strap, it so much better than my old porta wrap, didn't know that the extra hole was for a plate, although I've lowers some decent sized lumps with it it has never slipped Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
