    I got a army water bottle from a surplus store. I couldn't say how long as I've had it that long. And it goes through the dishwasher.

    I saw that on a offload show. Narrow tyres cut through the slippy mud to the more solid below. However if deflated (15psi I think) wide tyres help float over sand or boggy ground.

    I know it's not a truck but my 99 petrol passat had 192000 on the clock when I brought it and I put 25000 over 18months going up & down to Portsmouth sold it just over a year ago for a upgrade (diesel with 172000 on clock) and it still going strong.

    Saw him using a winch at the Arb and forestry show. It looks easy to do and gives you more uniform finish

    Yes. Practising would be a good way of getting rid of some of that willow.

    It would be a shame to lose any mature and most defiantly an ancient woodland. I live in the national forest, which has increased the tree cover from 6% to over 20% with the use of over 8 million trees over the last 20yrs. Don't get me wrong it is good but will still take 50+ years for the trees to get to a decent size.

    Taking the east coast route adds 3hours but avoids the Peak District. I live about 5 miles off the google maps route. But if you divert near derby you end up coming through Swadlincote. I can make a mean spag Bol....
