  3. Sorry but they are not at all harmful advise the school but just leave them they are quite rare and normally found under the shade of a silver birch tree like somebody else said a good opportunity for education
  4. So at £1740 quid how much better than the 880 is it ,the better air filter sounds cool for milling shame my bank balance aint looking good for a new big saw any time soon ,but my 880 is like brand new anyway only used it a few times

  10. Hi sorted the cables all I had to do was wind in the lift handle I did feel a bit thick when Chris looked at the pics I sent him and says just wind the handle in so all done just need to chem fix the threaded rod to hold the bearers down and then get the saw moved on the track ,Happy Days
  11. Hi guys its bonkers I have dried boards by the burner before just so I can put the sander on them but never had big furrows before got to build a box for my kiln unit I just have so much to do sometimes it gets overwhelming I will not make a list ,hey now theres a topic "My To Do List "

  13. Oh yeah I am always up for some Elm I have 2 short logs waiting for my new mill ,but here in Dorset I just dont see any
  14. Hi I just dont see any Elm at all but all the Scottish Elm I have seen is quite diffrent to English Elm the Scottish is a lot redder in colour

  16. Hi guys so I looked up those things and they are not big enough the things I am thinking about are like inch and a half and bigger
  17. So at the risk of sounding stupid what the f##k are those drill bits called that put a big dowel on the end of a stick you see them in like rustic stools etc
  18. Hi yeah cool no worries with the pics when its milled had a good after noon building the new mill but the instructions were printed by the ikea people I think

  20. Ha since we got burgled and lost my 880 and a few other things we got some of those anti poacher things that fire shotgun cartridges with a trip wire into a big steel pipe dont half go off with a bang I just got to remember to disarm it before opening the door fully and theres more than one

Hi its not the biggest about 12/14 ft long and 2ft diameter I think 2 and a quarter inch slabs to finish at 2 inch but may do a 3 inch for table legs I will take some pics tomorrow ,so yeah sounds like I had a good deal ,and as for the matey in Scotland £1700 it would have to be gun stock quality unless its Very valuable american black walunt ha ha

    Walnut

    Picked up a nice big butt of Walnut yesterday cost me £50 and £100 for the hi ab to come and move it ,now have a few nice lumps waiting for my new mill decided to install a curtain from an old curtian sider lorry on the front of my lean-to in order to keep the rain off my mill all these things delaying the build up of it though doing my head in but I will get there
  23. Yeah I sold my hm130 on a trailer as my broken ankle is not up for tromping round woodland and cow fields doing mobile milling and that paid for a brand new hm130 max static I just cant wait to build it up .
