  4. yes seeing a lot at the moment, even with a fair amount of decay the tree seems to hold up well. Hard to know what the best course of action, don't want to remove them unless its needed, but crown reducing my lead to more infection
  5. Hi all, ive found this a few times recently on ornamental cherry, seems to found anywhere on the tree, normally wheres the damage or a wound. Think its phellinus but not sure. How much of an issues would it pose? Many thanks tree

  12. I wouldn't normally submit a application until I have won the job, i just make sure that the customer is awear work is subject to LA approval. If another company has submitted a application, the customer should have a copy, if so you should be fine. If they haven't it may be just a case of speaking to the LA.

  16. I know a few people who run mogs on red and one has a old Bedford truck, it's a 5 tonner which has a crane arm, been replated as a crane so he runs on red no probs. It does sound like you got of lightly, strange how they appeared out of the blue though

  20. I used to grow trees on a nursery a few years ago, we really good germination rate, but the main was getting the stratification periods right. We used large walk in type fridges to help, as the problem with direct sowing some types, our winters aren't always cold enough for long enough. I have a book(somewhere) with all suggested time scales to help.

  23. Yes any work with in a sssi you will need consent from natural England and depending on what the sssi is for will determine how you plan your operation. What the normal ask for is a method statement detailing what you plan to do. If you look on magic maps.com you should be able to find the info you need, or check the natural England website all the info is there to
