  1. Hi all im not that great on a pc. Can any help me on how to convert a pdf file in to a word file. cant seem to do it with out having to purchase software many thanks for you help, sorry its a no arb question to tree

  10. that's a good idear . There's poor access for a mower so it's a strimmer job. not that keen on it but hoping I might get some tree work on the back of it
  11. It's for a local house association They have given me all the area in meters But it's only grass strips along paths so no mower access really

  14. No crown reduction wouldn't be my choice. Could you not brace the stems together using cobra, it's not to expensive and they can be effective
  15. interesting one, im assuming that the later beech is still alive , so will come into soon? a lot of what you do will come down to what the owner allows, assuming both are healthy im not sure I would go down the crown reduction path as its beech, may be crown thin would help? Cable bracing (non invasive) could be a option to. will be keen to other people advise

  20. Hi there I have suggested that they use 1.5m depth. The project in question is a small extension to an existing outbuilding. There is a mature lime tree approx 8m from where the new foundation will be. The LA are keen for the barrier to be used, to help protect from any future root damage and to stop any contamination from the concrete effectiving the tree and roots. Is this a unreasonable request by the LA?

  23. Hi all Has any one got any links or information on root protection barriers and where to purchase it from. I've been asked about installing a root barrier. its for a new extension, which is approx 8m from an mature lime tree. The LA have approved the plans but suggest installing a root barrier to help minimise any future damage. Any help would be great Many thanks
