  1. It's always just the Friday and Saturday.you may have been looking at the A.P.F shoe.that's 3days but in September so if you can,t get to the ARB get yourself to the A.P.F it,s awesome.
  2. Hi Jon ya bring some of the good stuff. They have some proper old barrel's of beer this year and lots of it cause they ran out on the Friday night last year:confused1:
  3. Yep camping on site and if same as last year it.s right by the main show so no walking miles. Good crack last year and if am being honest the camping and BBQ etc on the Friday night was better then the show. Same old same old but they have live music etc which is ok.
  4. Like I said, it would be a very boring world if we all did and thought the same. And not trying to be a hero. Question was would you climb this, I said yes you say no. Nothing else to be said really. All in good fun and happy banter. Unless this thread gets diverted into something else? In which case I wish I had't said anything.last comment on it now. No more to be said. The tree is down.sorted:thumbup:
  5. Ok nice one:thumbup: I'll let you know how I get on with them. Am surprised no one else has made a comment.
  6. Did the root ball sit back much when you felled it? Just seeing if what I said REF kick back if topped would be a little?
  7. Looks like Enough room to take the top out and fell direct to ground there should't be very much kick back and only a little if any. Then section down in what size suits you to ht you comfortable to fell remaining trunk. That's me and how I would do it but there are many other ways and am sure more will be posted in the next 10mins:biggrin:
  8. Only thing i'am concerned about would be the bit you put on your helmet catching on branches but for the money it's got to be worth a go?
  9. Exactly and more interesting then just felling. Jobs like that can be used to gain experience and be more fun:thumbup:
  10. I can't but looks big Enough to hold my 13 stone for 15mins. We're is your sense of adventure? Ya I know"your life worth more then taking a chance etc etc. What a boring world it would be if we all did and thought the same.
  11. Ya great idea and have just bid on a new set on fle-bay. Great saving on what stein etc want for there kit.
  12. Yep no problem, what ever you weigh won't effect climbing it. Looks a good root system. Another challenge and you won't have to climb all the way to the top.
  13. The money is in the root stock. Walnut wood worth more below ground then above. Root stock is what used for gun stocks. Purdy, holland&holland ect.if root wood any good could be worth ££££££££.can be hard work getting it out but could be worth it.you need to make some phone calls.you can send me a nice bottle of red if and when you sell it?
  14. Nice one.you know it makes sense. Lovely jubley.
  15. Getting kicked here a bit lads, help me out a bit.
  16. It says bidding has ended !!!
  17. The dark side has arrived. Nice choice though.
  18. Hi will welcome.Anyway here we go ms460 for your big saw and a little ms230 that should do you for what you want. Go for an older type 460 but good ones hold there money you looking at between £400 to £500. Now watch this thread go the dark side will be here soon.
  19. I get it across fingers of my right hand. They swell up on the inside and feel like a bee sting. Swelling go's down after a day or so and as said ice and rest only thing. Can I ask how old you are?
  20. That's why I had 3 guess's thought one was bound to be right if I was that good I would be in a class room teaching about it and not still working my butt of still cutting and climbing.
  21. You don't need to use a chainsaw really for that amount of cutting. A good hand saw will do just as good and also don't use polythene as a liner just use good landscape fabric and either pan head nail it to sleepers or use a staple gun. Also mix compost in with the soil. Your priceing is not to far out depends on how you going to lay firsts course of sleepers? Directly on to the soil or on a hard standing support? Either one will make a great difference to your overall price.
  22. Ya I hear you but for a couple of spanners I did't think it was worth it.I did think about putting some set mouse traps under a tarpaulin and if they came back and had a fumble around it mite be bit funny. But I'd probley get done for something. Be funny though. O forgot to say am based in droitwich.
  23. Someone has had some kit stolen in bromsgrove not to sure if any climbing kit. He may see your post and contact you if he has.
  24. That's to close for comfort. Were they taken from a yard, lock up or vehicle? Had my lock broken on my truck man last week they took just a few spanners. They have been back since dirty hand prints over the back. No point in ringing the five o they don't even bother coming out anymore.
  25. Rained off again, can't clean chainsaws etc anymore they already look spanking, all kit and quotes done so thought have a go at these. Agree with rob but the GANODERMA LUCIDUM is rare in the uk. It could be same species but RESINACEUM. Could also be PFEIFFERI same family.
