  1. No it's ok really and not offended, if you like new stuff that's fine but the newer stihls are no were near as good as the older ones. All I can say is if you pm me and let me know how much you willing to pay for a 260 I don't mind biding for you on e-bay. May b a 09 011. Then I can send it to you and settle up when you receive it? Just a thought:biggrin:
  2. O ok that's told me. !!! Good luck with finding what you want.
  3. Really? You do surprise me, I thought there would be quite a few over there? Why not ask your stihl dealer if he's got any trade in ones or he can source you one or get one fron here, you got e-bay there?
  4. Get an older 260 May b 07 up to 010 really good saw you won't be disappointed with the power to weight ratio

  9. The priceing on any job will vary from the fact of how competent you are at what you do and how you would do it and kit,man power you have at you disposal. Some will look at this particular job and say can do in a day others will look and say two days. Hence the price variation. My price I gave was for a day.
  10. Could be, but based my price on not seeing it. Like I said in my first post. Lots of variables. At least we can give him a guide to what he should be charging.
  11. I'll start the ball rolling on the price going on how I would do it. Between £800 to £1100 but that's not seeing it but by the looks of it and location nice steady job
  12. Just ask on here you'll get a few different answers but will give you good idea what the ball lark quote will be, it just depends which way you plan to deal with it.
  13. Just re-read your post, have you quoted for it yet?
  14. Can't give to much advise on it really to many variables, but what I would say is if this is your first big and all difficult job do what you can to make it yours even if you get contract climber and have to even get two. But don't give it away. Man up and handle it yourself. You know deep down you can deal with it and when done and you see it through it builds your confidence to tackle the next bid difficult job.
