  1. Hi Jon....that's were I will shove it and it's still the same when I get it back....I understand that things sometimes don't work as they should...that's life...but you just get the feeling they taking the p---s and treat you like and idiot.
  2. The 150 was the first brand new saw I have brought....every other saw I have are pre 2012..and have never had any issues with any of them..
  3. Am having sme trouble at the moment with a 150 which have only had a few months...cut out and wouldn't start...so straight back to dealer...gave me some crap that petrol mix was wrong when I picked it up...after 20 years using chainsaws that was a first. To cap it all stihl warranty don't cover wrong fuel mix so to get my saw back I had to pay £45....not happy...anyway had it back used it for 2 days and same problem...had subby working for me for 2days..I supply oil and petrol and funny enough his 150 purred like a kitten and didn't miss a beat. Took it straight back...told them want it sorted and my£45 back...will never change from using stihl....think just got a bad one which hopefully can be sorted.
  4. This one is a perfect example how differently we all price jobs...we look at it in different ways...the price on this job go's from £320 to £600...clients make there own minds up but not just on the price...they either like you and get a good vibe about the way you bring yourself across or they don't give you the time of day.
  5. It looks like a multi step conie by the pictures given and useley on these the stump can sometimes be a pig...as already said I wouldn't go any lower then £450/£550 price.i personally would be priceing £600 to £650.the kicker is if you haven't got your own grinder...you looking at between £200 to £250 to do the stump alone...you're need to really be pocketing £350 for your part of the job....but again if you need the work you got to do as you feel is right and get some cash in...it's probably not you priceing high there are so many out there now priceing very low just to keep ticking over.
  6. There are quite a few small chippers out there which would suit your needs....but don't go for a cheap residential one...you need to go for a pro....timber wolf do a very good 3"to 4"chipper on wheels and jo Baue are awesome....all depends on your budget as to what you get.do research and don't go cheap...unless it's a major good deal.there is a threat on here which will give you more advise.
  7. I was working in and around the DORKING,GUILDFORD,LEATHERHEAD ares...been working away from home after just getting married.couldt get out of wear we were staying for over a week...aB&B in the middle of some woods...thing what sticks in my mind was hundreds and hundreds of dead pheasants that were lying on the ground everywhere. Went back for a visit a few years later and the trees were still being cleared and cut....still mite be doing it now for all I know.
  8. That wsa David Cassidy....
  9. Fields of barley....can't remember her name...but that one for me.....god I've only got a cold....can't be thinking like that.
  10. O and I still have the tape of the op....have never watched it and never will....same doc who did gazers did mine....German guy and very nice as well...and it was all done on the NHS.
  11. Yep...has my ACL/MEDIEAL ligaments done and and my two cartilages ground at the same time....took a year of work and didn't rush going back...I did everything by the book and physio took ages....that was 24 years ago and played football again..as well as climb and nothing hurts or has ever given me any problems....the only thing I did do when I started playing football agein was to put electrical tape around the side random to stop it clicking. So my advise is don't be a hero and try and rush getting back to work.listen to docs etc and do everything correct.
  12. Sorry bout the spelling gand....just reading that post before yours bout that young lad being pulled into the chipper....hands still shaking...
  13. Ah up gand..you seem to be the type of person who will battle though and find a way to live your life as you want....beat of luck...your gaffer sounds like a decent chap so that's a bonus....catch up next year fella....hope you have good Xmas a nod new year.
  14. No:thumbup:
  15. The way things are going....it's not which saw should I her...stihl or husky...should be... What saw should I get...stihl,husky or echo.
  16. Hope we are ever going to see one of these woman silk....you seem to be seeing a few and none taking the bate....you not boring them to death talking bout trees are you????? Bring one to the ARB OR A P F next year.she'll be safe....with us lot:congrats:

  18. We're has he gone?....you all think we frightened him off.....and now stacking shelfs at local supper market?....be good if he came back with a response:confused1:
  19. Does that only count if it's real John?...lots of realistic trees out there....would the high and mighty be able to tell:santaclaus:
  20. How many chances do you get....and do you/premier have to pay every time you resit exam.....do they help you by telling you were you going wrong?????
  21. Ya ok.......but surely you would look for responses....can't be that busy as not to click a few buttons.
  22. Ok so this lad puts this post on....granted not to many replies....then disappears....why bother posting if not going to join in or follow it though....does that tell you what sort of lad he is may be????????
  23. Keep saving and add to your 10k....and get a new on with warranty. 10k a lot to risk on anything without long term warranty and or viable company.just what I would do if had 10k. To spend on a chipper.
  24. As said that is were you start....but there comes a time when you do need to progress...main question is though how long have you been a brash drager and general fetcher/carrier and cleaner upper....if 5mins you need to stick at it....if for a couple of years then time to move on..have you got your basic chain saw tickets? If not I suggest you get that sorted first.this is how most guys on here started and most now run there own successful tree surgery/ and or landscaping business.
  25. You know how important and busy I'am....so need a chauffeur...and you were a good one...can I book you again:driver:no....I think it's custom that who's area it is byes the first 2 rounds:beer:o...and I do think that's you:beerchug:
