  1. Great axe if you ask me , good price too ! TS
  2. This Stihl crap is getting to us all bro ! And this thread is proof it's still constant source of heart ache to most of us !! TS
  3. That's a bit below the belt , it's Stihl with the problem , not Scotland .
  4. The fact that Stihl dealers can't even send you the likes of a brake band through the post now , that is a joke . I'm sure there are a few good dealers in Scotland . Fact for me is my local dealer is hopeless and I got much better service dealing with dealers in England , better prices too . So it's Husqvarna all the way now ! TS
  5. All the best mate . TS
  6. I had a Navara 04 model, in the rear drum there is a pivot for the hand brake on the inside of the rubber boot at the back of the drum and another inside the drum at the bottom . On mine both were guilty of seizing up causing a **** hand brake . This may explain why tightening the cable did no good , you could of course just need new brake shoes . TS
  7. I was up in the Black Isle last October for four days and the weather was amazing ! But in Scotland you can never be sure , usually wetter weather on the west side of the country . TS
  8. Husky 372xp
  9. I had this on my old 254 husy , and it was the sealing of the fuel pipe at the tank .
  10. Get a pair of Airstreams , hard to beat !
  11. Mess ! In my opinion .
  12. I've got a pair of brown leather Teva's and they are fantastic , real comfy ! TS.
  13. 560xp all the way ! TS.
  14. Boy that works with me has been on some state of the art one for a couple of weeks . I think he paid about £60 for it , been getting coffee flavour and cherry this week ! Smells better than his usual fags and seems to work for him . TS
  15. Murder up here too , heat , blinding sweat and clegs ( hose flys ) + midges !! Type A's for me and a stein T shirt . About a gallon of water a day too . Roll on the winter . TS
  16. I've got one. Used to use it all the time , but I made a new lanyard with an ART positioner and I've never used it since . Good though ! Mine was 3 meters . TS
  17. Must have cost you a right few quid for the sleepers ! TS
  18. Hi , I changed the sprocket on my 1998 254xp at the weekend , my oil pump drive is black plastic with slots for the clutch drum to fit into , so I recon that's the set up you should have on your saw . TS
  19. Too much time on yer hands !! Good though . TS
  20. I would say forget it , I tried it once when my rear crank seal was weeping on my 110 . You may be lucky . A quick clean around the leak with brake cleaner may show where it's coming out . Ts
  21. Same thing happened to me last year , Doc gave me tramadol , went after 5 days suffering to the local chiropractor and she sorted me there and then , don't hang about , get down there asap . Been there , feel for anybody that suffers the dreaded back !! TS
  22. Yip me too , Suunto Core , superb watch . TS
  23. I've still got an old husky 61 from 1985 , still goes well , don't use it much but can't bear to part with it , also got an old 266xp but I don't know how to tell the age , says electrolux on the badge too ! TS
  24. I got one the other day , the dogs had loads . I bought a couple of those wee fork things to pop them off , called O Tom . Work great . TS
