  1. Our ms261 was much worse than the 201 we still have , worst saw I ever bought .
  2. We have a Stihl , it's been ok . I recon we have been lucky , if you go by previous posts .
  3. Superb !
  4. We had an Irish boy turn up at the job we were on in Glasgow on Friday . Two fake Stihls and various socket sets and a small petrol generator , he got told where to go !!
  5. One brake handle is enough for me , 30 + years cutting wood only . Not myself . But if it saves somebody from a cut then let them fire ahead . One thing for sure , it's all about opinions . I wouldn't want a trio brake .
  6. Never tried it , don't like the look of it , can't see the point of it .
  7. I keep telling everbody that too Paul , sooooooperb
  8. Deffo 550 , or even better 560 , my 261 was a real dog .
  9. Speak to Rob D
  10. Sounds like the head again , compression leaking into a waterways causes the water to blow out the rad pressure cap , it'll be worse under power too .
  11. Hi- Lux , never had any problems with the ours .
  12. That looks a nice tool , how does it go ?
  13. I've had great service from my Bashlins .
  14. A site clearance for a house today , loads of small alder , syc , rowan , one beech . Most under 8" diameter . The owner wanted the chip but not the timber , so got that free . Result ! Only downside was weather and brambles .
  15. Jensen 750 , never had any bother with mine .
  16. Gotta be Meindel for me , I recon the woodwalker version is better for ground work though .
  17. Another vote for the Yale XTC here , I'm also on a Komet Butterfly harness , it's a good value bit of kit and pretty tough compared to some . The sky's the limit if you have plenty cash and there's some lovely stuff out there .
  18. I've had it for years and it's never gone away . If I stand at the splitter for a few hours at a time or drive for a few hours , I'm in agony and start to loose the feeling in my right leg . I've tried various pills and osteopaths and chiropractors . Perhaps I should try and get to the bottom of it rather than trying to live with it .
  19. I put up with my 441 for a year but it was one thing after another , It had two carbs , various electronic changes / updates and it was still rubbish . It was just costing me money and time so it got sold . Bought another 460 and it's been solid . Hope you get sorted out .
  20. The suspense is killing me Paul
  21. Best jacket I've ever bought .
  22. This is what my accountant told me too , and it's the way I work . My guy does about 20/25 hours a week for me .
  23. Great old saws , not much to go wrong and plenty of power . I've one on a 12" bar and it's real handy , still gets plenty use , I've also got a 242 on a 12 " love it for snedding it's a real rever . 2 series huskys are superb . Mind you I'm a huge 560 fan too .
  24. More for wee Coleen to spend , gotta be good for the economy .
  25. Great news indeed
