  1. Got one last week, very lightweight but splits brilliantly. Pretty effortless compared to my Oregon maul!
  2. They should have asked for your UTR (unique tax reference) and if your not registered CIS, they may take 30%, as has been mentioned.
  3. It's like two very different worlds, well I suppose it is two very different worlds but in the same society, doesn't make much sense to me!!
  4. Sorry to read this mate, sounds very scarey but you're young enough and strong enough to bat this out the park, plus you're a character on here, and we depend on your posts!👍
  5. Did hear something on Jeremy vine, saying they edited it to portray the street in a very poor light. Who knows?
  6. Didn't see programme, £26000😳, that's a decent income in this part of the world. Hard to believe you can get that on benefits.
  7. Know what you mean.
  8. Certainly " delivered to your door"!!
  9. I find faithful tools to be of decent quality, infact just bought another shovel and slate ripper.

Trying to get my hands on this..
  13. Hopefully he had fallen over and hurt himself a few times on the way there.
  14. Aye, nice one, but they shouldn't have to do it. Good on them though!
  15. Had same problem last year for a number of weeks, doctor wasn't keen to do cortisone, compression sleeves were good. Not had much bother with it last few months, it was quite uncomfortable at the time though. Old age doesn't come alone, as they say!
  16. "Forget the tickets, It's only you.....employ a labourer" Good idea👍
  17. Anything that makes any job easier is worth doing, over a week it makes a big difference.
  18. If you're over 40yrs old then you'll probably just have to get used to it I'm afraid!!
  19. Defo a spring tine off an agri implement from the past!
  20. Aye bob, was under the impression it was "sharp for cutting, blunt for splitting" I think blunt is fine for softwood but maybe a bit of an edge for hardwood. Just my opinion of course!
  21. Hope so Bob, was a bit worried at how light it felt but had a go at some gnarly old bits of beech and got through them surprisingly easily.
  22. Late Xmas pressie from the wife today!! Very impressed so far.
  23. No decomp Rich, think it's about 27 yrs old, should probably just let it die. On the other hand it cuts wood and has served me well. Used to be at the fishing, pots mostly, hauler had honda 5.5hp and were good engines but spark plug used to fail occasionally, with no warning, one minute fine, next minute gone!
  24. Cheers Rich, haven't picked it up since! You mention compression and tbh the jonny feels more alive when pulling the start cord, husky seems a bit wheezy! For want of a better description, sorry.
  25. Bu@@ers! No foxes here but plenty mink, lost a couple of hens this summer. Just got a cockerel yesterday from a mate, looks identical to yours, I'm no expert but after a bit of searching I'm guessing he's a light Sussex maybe?
