1. Have you tried your local freecycle?
2.
I'm in Croydon - are you local?

3. It's worth pointing out that I also keep chickens - which were out in the garden but the fox still went upstairs in the house. Maybe sick, maybe injured or maybe likes the smell of baby milk or cat food but it's best to get rid as I'm sure it was at the cat flap last night.
4. Made my L shaped one from old pallets and works a treat
5. To be honest and regardless of the morality (you can't convince me that it is safe for my baby when the fox has already been in the house and the kids bedroom) killing them in an urban area will only allow another to take over the territory and I'm not going to keep this up all the time! I have set metal targets up in the garden today which I can hit from the window and door so I'm starting a campaign of harassment and annoyance for now... my wife says I have plenty experience!
6. Looks like I may have an excuse to get a .22 rifle although I'm guessing the neighbours may have a heart attack! What license to I need? I'm a good shot with an air rifle but obviously that is no where near powerful enough for a fox.
7. Wife went to go upstairs today to find a fox had come into the house! It barred its teeth at her then ran into the kids bedroom (baby is only 5 months) before she chased it off with a broom handle! Anyone know best ways of getting rid of urban foxes? My aim is good but I live in Croydon so the neighbours shoot back
8. My ' man shed' is an ugly basic concrete lump but I love it. The missus is planning on loads of garden parties this year so I have a plan to start it up a bit. What is the possibility of getting my hands on pine (or other soft wood) logs that are or could be split length ways to give the impression of a log cabin? Grand ideas for someone who lives in Croydon!
9. My God that is a fine hog! The only thing that has been decided for our wedding is that we are having a hog roast - not even picked a venue yet! :-D
10. I've spent the past two days splitting logs from a storm felled tree - I haven't done it for a while and either this tree is really hard or I've got really soft!
11. fancy giving one away for free then?
12. Do you sell these beauties?
13. Forgive me if this wrong as I only saw it on Grand Designs but in that episode making charcoal and forestry products means you have to be there all the time so the planning was easier but the house the bloke built has no value as it couldn't be sold.
14. I'm not religious but this has always tickled me - "I know God won't give me anything I can't handle. I just wish he didn't trust me so much.” Mother Teresa
15. It's gonna big huge because its your first anyway so transit will defo give more options when it comes to work which will obviously mean more money to pay the insurance huge bill.m:001_smile:
16. Nope they are just heavy key locks. To make things worse - see those fire alarm boxes to the left? It turns out that the alarm wasn't connected until late this morning!
17. Same here! tried last year but got sick and only just got back to it - 4 weeks before my new baby is born! Put half the roof up today then under the guise of needing to dry the inside I moved a log burner in there for 3 hours while I read and drank beer!
18. The reason was that they had been broken into over the summer - all doors locked with students in! Crazy.
19. This was in a special needs college yesterday - they will probably get their students to cut the trees down that they wanted removed also!
20. Please ignore my very first attempt but I have a question! I like the look of the handle I tried on this which is made out of a bay tree branch. Is bay likely to split loads and be useless?
