1. I live in Croydon where people were looting value bags of rice and barbers chairs during the riots! They will nick anything!
2. :biggrin:My kids would be a hell of a lot better behaved than the ones in this!
3. Good viewing!
4. I know that he will like as we made it but we want him to also use it safely - or in other words use it without him having the option of taking the P out of me for the remainder!
5. I love those - especially the last one! I have been 'playing' and some bay branches that I had around the garden looks really nice as a handle (almost like bone) when debarked but not sure on the day to use of that wood (anyone help?)
6. Did you ask them why they thought they were too dry?
7. You can also buy a little plastic bag with blackthorn thorns in for as little as £2 and as you all know the thorns are widely used in spells and incantations
8. Look up Blackthorn on EBay and you get some 'magical' items! A wand made from blackthorn clippings but I quote "I prefer not to charge magical items, leaving that for their new owners to do" for £12.50! At that price I want the magic included!
9. Ha ha! I found out how babies are made 8 months ago and will be bricking my pants every time my missus takes a deep breath from now on!
10. Thank you for the help folks and I think I will grab a copy of that book also! I have been looking at using a household steamer and piping to steam and straighten sticks but the handles are giving me no end of grief! It is for my Dad who is very ill so I would rather not cock it up and add a fall to his situation
11. Can anyone help out a complete novice when it comes to walking sticks? I have the sticks (seasoned) but only just found some with 'built in' handles so I need to know about making and attaching a handle to a basic shank... or can someone sell me one and tell me how to Tracy it!!
12. I LOVE that walking stick handle!

Hi,

Do you still make stick handles? My 6yr old son and I are trying (never done it before) to make a couple sticks for my Dad who now has to use one all the time however I am having no luck with handles. Last week I found a stick that is the right shape to have a 'built in' handle but it is still very green obviously. Do you have a website or anything we can look at? My boy would like antler so if you have anything available I would be interested.

Thanks

14. If the families are really bad then do what my friends did - sod off somewhere great and have a webcam with a live Internet feed set up behind you (the same view you would get if actually there) and job done!
15. If you have kids or are planning on bringing along to jobs then invest in a Griffin case - pricey but cheaper than a new iPad!
16. I spent most of yesterday looking at the 2 stacks of logs that need cutting and splitting in my garden but just couldn't find the energy!
17. That's the look I have always wanted!
18. I saw this at a renewal ceremony today and it suits me perfectly!
19. Goats?
20. They usually travel long distances so expand your search area then during the party take loads of pictures and make your own!
21. Try the SWOG forum as there are shed (sorry) loads of restrictions on what you can build are they have tonnes of info.
22. Pine torch for alfresco eating and outdoor parties :w00t:
23. Sweet Mother of God! That chair is amazing!
24. That's a far more polite term that my wife used!
25. I want this chair!
