  1. Cheeky sod. I suppose the kerbed alloys are testament to her 'great' driving then. By the way..... What's a cusion?
  2. L200...close on the hours worked and occasionally driven by blonde wife but mostly bouncing it around on the farm working. Mrs isn't a fan of it because she struggles to reverse park it without using the towbar as a bump stop....
  3. I haven't done much today at all. Woke up with the mother of all headaches and came home at lunchtime as I couldn't concentrate. Attempted to tidy a few things up at home and gave up. Went to bed at 1pm thinking my head was going to explode. Woke at 6pm feeling worse and still up now wide awake. Been discussing the erection of another outbuilding with a farmer friend for feb. I can't even remember what else I was going to post as this headaches making me lose all track of thought.
  4. +1. Some councils charge you for it too. Manchester a charge is £32 from memory so factor in for an extra charge to your customer.
  5. It is!
  6. Cracking leaf size on this tree in a customers garden today. Don't think I've ever seen/noticed one before and didn't know what it was until told.
  7. Aitch, I'll have some if there are any still available. In Hudds and can pick up sat if any good. Cheers. Lee
  8. It's all well and good hoping Tescos or any big chain goes under but if they do, what then happens to all the farmers, Dairy/meat or veg that supply exclusively their goods to these supermarkets? I know two dairy farmers that supply milk exclusively to Tescos and are constantly screwed down on price but have no other options to sell to. If Tesco's drop them as suppliers then they will go under as they have no one else to sell to and have invested heavily in equipment and standards to meet Tesco's demands. WHilst they may not be the best company in the world they do keep a huge amount of the country financially afloat.
  9. Not too bad here.
  10. axanthic green. Posted it on your fb page with explanation.
  11. Second that! Always love the first smell of fresh cut grass of the year too. Them 'vinegar leaf' things you used to smell by rivers near the woods. Reminds me of when my grandad used to pick us up on a sunday morning with his collie for a run in the woods. Rope swings, conkers etc. Let us do all the stuff your parents were scared of seeing you do. Rope swing over a gorge, climbing trees for the best conkers etc. My nan used to own a bakery and on a weekend we would go down and pick up a freshly baked apple pie.....Now that smell even now takes me back to being a kid!
  12. Absolutely! Had the back of my motor full of oak rings before now and they handled it no problem with no obvious signs of it dragging it's back end. Towed a huge excavator on it's trailer that was nose heavy with no problems too. The only downside is stiff springs equals a harsh ride when empty. Bounces over speed humps etc.
  13. Milner off-road mate. Got my L200 ones off there at half the price of everyone else. Quick delivery too.
  14. Agreed...I'd also add gaffa tape to that thread!
  15. A new shape 5p coin to seal a radiator compression connection when it failed spectacularly late one saturday evening. Couldn't find a stop end or blank and didn't fancy paying for a plumber at 10.30pm. Used my belt on a mates van when his exhaust fell off the rear rubbers on the M6. Wrapped it round the chassis and exhaust and carried on our journey. Think he sold it 6 months later and I never did get that belt back......
  16. Gisburn auction mart between Clitheroe and Skipton. Easy to find online with lots showing what's for auction. Not sure how often they have them though but their site should tell you when the next ones on.
  17. Tongs a fantastic venue. Raced there many times over the years with Dirtbike traxs and done a few Fast Eddy training days there. COuldn't make this weekend to watch but heard it was excellent.
  18. Depends on where it came from, is it seasoned? How good a hinge it left, if it was recovered by a grab or quad, whether the branches off it were walked or run to the chipper, but more importantly was it cut down with a Stihl or Husky?
  19. What did you drive off in? If it wasn't a hilux or a mog you will be burned at the stake (a hardwood seasoned one) by the forum. You may have to wait for said burning mind as no one can find decent hardwood cord though....
  20. Tried nu,erous places for a new Husky jacket but being messed about by one company saying they had it in stock and a week later admitting they didn't so gave my money to a forum sponsor for one in the new year. Off for a bottle of laphroig tomorrow and a new rough shooting shotgun. May also have to grab a crate of Hobgoblin too.
  21. Can only congratulate the police on this regarding their response too. No further action to be taken against the farmer. Your mate must have been bricking it to a degree no matter how handy you are. I know if anyone was breaking into my house I'd fire a shot off too. My kids are my life and I won't have any scum put their or my life in danger if I can help it.
  22. :thumbup1:I have a working Border collie. If he doesn't know you he won't be too keen on you coming in...If you do get in....he won't let you leave. Lovely strong dog generally but around strangers I don't trust him unless he's on the lead. He's certainly no coward with bullying things. He moves the pigs and bull at the farm with no effort or backing off. He's had a few boots but just goes back for more. We don't get too many cold callers when he's stood at the window baring his teeth and showing them he's not happy. Now if he could control the cold callers on the phone..........
  23. R5log? Ar$e log? Mitch, that trailer is a serious bit of kit. Really like that! Hope it serves you well.
  24. We have tested the newer range of hilti drills and they blow our makita 18v sds out of the water. The back up from hilti is also excellent. Think we are purchasing two in the new year now. Our makita has been good but batteries last us about a year. Drilling everyday in all weathers. Wouldn't touch newer dewalts with a barge pole. Had a few of the older ones with metal gearbox and they pretty much gave up before a year. The older stuff wasn't too bad.
  25. Oh no! I have some band aids in the van mate if she needs one? If you ever break down/ run out of electrickery we could push her into the back of my sprinter and get her home. ;-)
