  1. The little chainsaw.. [ame] [/ame]
  2. It's arrived. All in great condition, no damage. Thanks F R Jones. Plenty of emails to let me know what stage the delivery was at and a delivery date and time. Turned up 5 minutes inside delivery window too rather than back end or just at that moment you decide to nip to the loo as most deliveries tend to.
  3. Clulite masterlite cree led one john. Had it a few years now and still going strong.
  4. Cheers stubby. Found that prior to ordering after a search. Will wait for any guarantee to finish them set about changing it. It's coming Monday too which is handy as I have the day off.
  5. Ordered.
  6. Quick checkout - 365 with 24" bar and chain. Husky combi can and Husqvarna Technical helmet. £675.49. Pretty much what i'm after. Cheers
  7. Hi Jonesie, I'm fancying a new 365 after using a mates 365 special I think it was. Do you have stock of the 365 x torq and if so how much different is it to the special? Also wanting a new helmet and husky can. Payday friday so probably ordering fri afternoon. What's your cut off time for a monday delivery if ordered friday? Cheers in advance. Lee
  8. Cheers guys, gives me something to think about there. Off to look at Whitmores online now.
  9. I'm having a sign made for my best mate for his home pub and could do with some help. The guy doing the design and image is almost done so it's soon going to be time to make a frame round it and fit some brackets to hang it. The bracket I've sorted out easy enough. However, what would be best for the frame? Oak? I think i'm going to paint the frame in a black gloss (dulux weathershield) but still undecided on what to make the frame out of. It needs to last a long time as he can't even paint his gate without covering everything in a 10 foot radius. Readily available as I need to sort, make and paint this before the 5th November so need to source said timber. Thoughts? Advice always welcomed. Cheers.
  10. Shouldn't have had them beans for tea mate. Been wet, sunny, warm, chilly and overcast all day today in Doncaster. Right mix of weather we've endured.
  11. I'll check that tomorrow. Cheers.
  12. Nothing resubmitted so far yet builders have started turning up to quote for the job today.....
  13. No TPO's or conservation area sadly. I get on with the guy so when he put his plans in I did speak to the council and let them know they were wrong but was okay with him having a garage. The planning officer said he would make a note of my comments and get them to resubmit altered plans. As yet I have had no copies or paperwork through to say he has done this. I'm wondering if he's bothered resubmitting anything....
  14. My neighbour is having some building work done in his back garden shortly and looking at the plans i'm a bit concerned as to how close he thinks he can dig and build to our boundary. A bit of detail about our gardens... We both have elevated gardens to the rear of our properties as we live on a steep hill. I have a garage to the side of my house where as he has a car port. He wants to build a garage in his back garden which involves digging his garden level to his driveway. This I have no problem at all with. However, on my side of the boundary 19 years ago we planted some conifers to create a wind break down the back of the properties. I maintain these regularly and don't let them grow above 10 foot and trim both sides. Now on his original plans it showed his garage been over the boundary and into said conifers and my garden. I have since explained who owns this side of the boundary and showed him one of the original concrete fence posts. He agreed to move his building work over onto his side as his plans were wrong. He now plans to dig out a good 10 foot deep (garden is raised and steep) and as close to my boundary as possible. How close is too close though? I don't want these conifers damaged or cut out or even to die due to the roots been damaged badly. Anybody have any idea as to how close to conifer roots you can dig without putting the trees at risk? Thanks in advance.
  15. Expensive! Where abouts in Norway you heading to? We drove up to skjervoy a few years back. Lovely place. Alcohol is an odd one. You can get it from the supermarket in the morning, a liquor shop till tea time then pub only after a certain time. We found locals friendly and accepting of our driving/ ways etc.
  16. Good man Dean. It's a good feeling to be honest with people and not try to pull a fast one. That's someones mother at the end of the day so think how we would all feel if someone did that to yours? We would be ranting on here about it.

    My accident

Sean, just read through this thread. I don't know you but some of your posts 'may' have caused some moisture in my eyes mate. I had a bad crash some time back on a motorbike and broke my back. I ended up with a body brace on so know how uncomfortable you feel with it. You certainly don't sound or come across as someone to give up on it all which is great but man, don't be upset if you have a bad day and need to let rip and cry. I did plenty of times. You sound like you have some brilliant support as I did and they understand if you have an off day. I wish you the speediest of recoveries and hope your rehab goes as well as is possible. Oh and if they offer you jelly in hospital....take it but don't eat it. Use it as crash pads on your elbows and knees for the times you decide to fly down the corridors/grounds on the back wheels and clip a wall. Great rubber protection pads. Best wishes to you, your family and all your support workers.

    Barbed wire

Might have to borrow that idea Goaty. Got about 1000m to later this year and have a case to hand. Bit of square bar, post and a disc and some welding?
  20. Misleading title. :sneaky2:Those aren't the kind of hot tits I was hoping for....
  21. We had some decent Abus locks on our unit last year but rather than attack the lock they cut the hinge of the shackle. Oxy cut it off then just opened door. A lock is only any good if the surround it is fitted to is also strong/awkward to break through. For anyone that has an alarm system fitted I'd highly recommend a master blaster and fog screen. Once one of those blasters goes off (inside even better) you really won't hang around for long before you damage your ears.
  22. [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSPAargq4LI[/ame] [ame] [/ame] My grandads last request for his funeral... He was a retired Navy guy. Still miss the old bugger 30 years later! [ame] [/ame]
  23. If you limit who you sell a product to then the cost of that item will rise accordingly. Are you happy to pay a lot more for your chains, saw etc just to stop cowboys getting access to them? Those costs will have to be passed onto someone....your customers. Will they be happy to pay a lot more for tree work? Most don't like paying the price now let alone if costs go through the roof because you want to stop cowboys undercutting you and doing poor work. Just my opinion and other angle to look at. :-)
  24. SNowing here and has been for a few hours on and off. One minute snow, then sleet, then thunder and lightening, stops for 20 minutes then snows again. It's damned windy too! Video below is off facebook on the M62 tonight...Look at them lampposts dance!
  25. Just spoke to a very good mate of mine as he runs a successful remapping company in Staffs. Asked him if it can be done properly rather than a 'tuning plug in'. His reply below... No it can't be done because of the Ecu technology used, that might change but as of now it's a no go The only thing you might be able to get for it is a tuning box (however) unless you get a good one like a Tunit it's pretty much a crap shoot as to if it will work at all or if it will damage the car The remapping industry is awash with Cowboys and conmen so he needs to be aware that some will say they can do it, yet actually not do a thing and still charge him for it. Hope the info helps.
