  2. get some 12v led flood lights a solar panel and good battery as fitted to a tractor and switch, just had a work out and should be able to run 8 X 10w lights with a good solar panel for 8 hrs each night with solar charging during day. Looked on the bay should be able to get system up and running for under £250. if more power needed then just add extra solar panel & extra light

  9. first you need to distinguish what type of valve it is, is it proportional or cetop type. I would say it will be cetop type in which case it sounds like there is a lack of voltage to the coils. This can be addressed by fitting relays to work the coils and the switch works the relay, usually happens as the switch will not pass the current required by the coil.
  10. Few years ago me and a mate went to buy a trailer, I needed one for weekend use he wanted to fetch building supplies in a week day. Anyways we went to look at this trailer I found on fleabay turns out to be a pile of shite so I said not what I'm looking for, my mate says will you tow it home for me if I buy it. No probs so he goes to pay the guy, in the meantime it starts raining and I mean raining coming down in stair rods me no coat just t shirt, so guy and my mate hitches trailer up we check lights and away home. Goes over level crossing and I felt trailer not to be there checked mirrors and saw trailer overtaking me, next thing trailer hits flood water and careers into verge on lefthand side of road, I reverse up to it mate takes his rigger boots off as water would of gone over top gets out and re-hitches trailer drag it out of flood and gets out to check, they'd connected the breakaway cable to the chain from top of pin to r clip,(dual type hitch) and the chain had snapped before brakes come on. Luckily there was nothing coming other way it was the A19. Only thing the trailer didn't do correctly, it didn't signal that it was pulling in again lol When I look back at it I could of caused a major RTA but as it happens I laugh about it now and always check breakaway cable securely fastened. On another note, brother in law lent his trailer to someone but they didn't change number plate, got pulled 3 points and £60 for not displaying correct number plate

  14. Ensuring your trailer has the appropriate lighting is a legal requirement (The Road Vehicles Lighting Regulations 1989). This simple guide will help you to be within the current laws for use on the UK public highway. All trailers must have fitted: •Two red sidelights. •Two red stoplights. •Two red reflective triangles. •An illuminated number plate. •Amber indicators (designed to flash between 60-120 times per minute). •Some form of letting the driver know trailer indicators are working correctly such as a buzzer or light. All trailers built after September 30th 1990 also require: •White front reflectors. If the trailer is more than 1.3m wide they also require: •At least one red fog lamp. Larger trailers (1.6m and over) require additional features: •White front reflectors. •White front markers/lights. Trailers Manufactured from October 2012 fitted with brakes require additional features: •Reverse light Longer trailers (6m and over, excluding drawbar, but not boat trailers) require additional features: •Red/White side markers. Arranging lights and reflectors: •Indicators should be a minimum of 350mm and a maximum of 1500mm from the ground. •Indicators should be a maximum of 400mm from the side of the trailer. •Indicators should be a minimum of 400mm apart. •Reflective rear triangles should be positioned above each indicator, a minimum of 350mm and a maximum of 900mm from the ground. •A single fog lamp should be mounted on the rear of the trailer, anywhere between the centre point and offside edge. •Two fog lamps must be separated and positioned at opposite sides of the rear of the trailer. •Fog lamps should be a minimum of 250mm and a maximum of 1000mm from the ground. •Fog lamps should be a minimum of 400mm apart. •There should be at least of 100mm of separation between the fog lights and the tail lights/indicators.

  18. we regularly send items over 2m on TNT, as long as they are wrapped don't matter with them, if too heavy to lift put on pallet but make sure the item doesn't over hang pallet.
  19. try TNT will be cheapest but worth the extra pennies
  20. can't blame ebay for listings that are nicked items, I always look on ebay for items I am looking for then check prices elsewhere online, sometimes as mentioned above at the vendors own site they are cheaper. also useful for obtaining keywords for search engines
