  2. too right it's gone thats the third 16 tonne trailer plus 4 car trailer loads
  3. Cheers Johny Just the big sycamore left, didn't get time for pics of other trailers was getting dark. will post pic of mine tomorrow it was full to top of extension sides.
  4. we use eccentric collar bearings all the time on our machines at work. They will lock much tighter to a stock bar than what a grub screw type bearing does. You can lock the collar either rotation to the bearing, it is best to rotate to lock in direction so it self tightens.
  5. no sure it's an 080 can't remember will dig it out tomorrow eve take pics and post them
  6. I've got an 080 in shed not doing anything, runner but exhaust dropped off think threads have gone on retaining studs.
  7. is it possible to run a MS361 with a 25" bar with a 404 chain? would only be for occasional use, I have picked up some timber that would not cut straight through with a 20" bar but a 25" would do the job. I have a 290 on a 18" bar but only on 3/8" chain opinions welcome. Thanks Trev
  8. bet I could tell you where to look for it
  9. know quite alot of farmers who use that method of stopping vehichles entering, only problem is remembering which gateway they in when grass grows. caught quite a few out.
  10. S Yorks - Notts - Lincs - N Lincs border, I can be in any of the 4 within 5 mins
  11. just seen forecast, wintery showers for us from wed onwards
  12. way to expensive to produce compared to hydraulic
  13. try Cherry Products Weld On Brackets - Cherry Products, Oxfordshire
  14. why 30 tonne? that would mean you having a 5.5" x 2.75" ram working @ 200 bar with a 50cc pump running @ 1800 rpm (540 with a step up gearbox of 3.4:1) cycle time from start to finish of stroke (extension & retraction ready for next log) of 20 secs. From my experience the splitting wedge / knife is the key to performance not the tonnage.
  15. Try these for saw parts, they are trade only but will tell ou who your local dealer is. Vast amount of saw parts http://www.granit-parts.co.uk
  16. if you running from a tractor don't worry, enough oil flow to compensate. very rarely will it compromise what you trying to do. Don't go down the the powerpack route just run extension pipes. If you worried about flow etc send me details of tractor you running and what revs, details of ram on splitter and I will work out your stroke cycle timings and pressure losses for you
  17. My dad always used to ask me when I was a kid and growing up which weighed heaviest a ton of coal or a ton of feathers then laughed when I said coal I have learnt now

  20. Nice vid promoting your business, looking from the outside in from a potential customer only thing I could say to improve is to alter the vids round so you got before stump ginding, during and after. so you show the process as it happens, but that just me. Please don't take as criticism just my point of view regards trev
  21. very sad for the family R.I.P. Most probably one of the old school posties who delivered post where it should of been delivered these guys are out in all weathers with a smile on their faces and enjoy what they do unlike some of the new recruits who don't give a damn.
  22. Put some cherries on top to make them more appealing to them and use skeet shot more holes the better lol
  23. get an old lorry chassis, just need the two rails, fasten some chains to it , tow around and keep topping up with loader.
