    Husky 385xp?

I have a 385, monster of a saw, mine pulls its 28" bar with ease, they stopped selling them in USA in 2010-2011, so parts are easy to get hold of, it's exactly the same parts as the 390, with a slightly smaller pot n piston Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  5. Nope, he wasn't when I fixed the blower, or a cylinder mower or some of the other stuff, but he keeps riching them up, and one of my colleagues was mixing fuel at 25:1 for god knows how long! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  6. Could do with some leaflets at my local dealer so I can take one to show my boss why we shouldn't keep using old crappy fuel so I don't have to keep fixing everything! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  7. Had a tinker with the works km 55 today, the coil that was apparently duff produces a nice fat blue spark, that jumped 4-5mm to the cylinder, including through my finger at one point! Reassembled, fitted a new plug, started, but it died on throttle, cleared the carb of dirt on outside, noticed fuel is leaking from the gasket areas! Fuel lines ok, so new carb kit will be on order, and the carb will be sat in my US cleaner soon! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  8. He promotes more in our types of work than any other high-profile person, and to be hedge laying in his 60's and the fact he has the ability not to bother, he could quite easily have somebody do it for him, the bloke earns my respect! Lets see some of those parliamentary prats break a sweat and do a days work! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  12. Isn't bracing just a webbing sling type support thing or have I been using the wrong term? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  13. Put a brace in or two perhaps, we have an old lime on the golf course that is simmilar Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  14. Today: changed the rim sprocket on my 560 to an 8 tooth, spark plug isn't the usual, a small bugger so my piston stop is useless, had to ram a load of starter rope in the cylinder, freed the clutch and mashed my hand in the process, the km55 at work has died, cutting out on load, the works mechanic said it was coil, so new one on order, personally I don't think it is but we shall see, I think it's carb issues, has been stored for over a month with fuel, I recon a new carb kit and US clean would work better, but hey, I'm only young and he has more experience Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  19. Nowt better than a laid hedge, do it with a saw if they're big trunks, it isn't that hard tbf, once you get the hang of it, you'll wonder what you fussed about Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  20. No worries, that's what the forum is for, help each other with saws n stuff Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  21. Yeah, either picco super or add a 3 on the end for the safety version, doesn't make much difference unless you bore cut a lot tbf Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  22. @warren - glyphosate breaks down on contact with soil, rendering it useless, so no problem there, I just find glyphosate doesn't work that well on grass @quercus - lawn sand or ferrous sulphate will cure moss, whilst making the grass more resistant to wear, if you turf it now, they will have to keep the dog off the lawn for atleast a month! Also, what quality turf would you use, garden centre turf is appalling quality, and high quality is only cost effective in bulk, although you would probably want 100+ rolls, so it would be cheaper with good quality Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  23. The picco super chain is wonderful, run my 200t & 236 on it and the 338xpt had a new one on it Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
