  1. Today I found out what was wrong with the partner 650 cut off saw, some silly barstool didn't fit the gasket on the metering diaphragm! And had a go at porting my husky 236, easy! Has pull-out transfer things! So ground out transfers and exh port, then ground the transfer covers, oops! Wrong side! Oh well, haven't shaved them down much, just need a carb kit and good to go! Is your sprocket worn enough to warrant changing? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  3. Friend of mine is a dealer, they use it for pretty much everything, has quite a large range of attachments too, if you buy one recommend you get a bigger one, rather than a smaller one Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  4. Type c, all round, wouldn't want anything less, legs are important! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  5. I've had my stihl classics for years now and they've seen better days, I'm after some new trousers, and as most of my saws are now over 20m/s I need some stronger ones! Anyone have any recommendations? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  6. Buzzards have increased by over 800% since they became protected, and for such a large bird they are pretty useless, we regularly have a pair feeding on worms and beetles where I keep my horse, the population seems to be on the up again, you need to see them off Jon before they scrump your apples! On another note, this time next week, only apple trees will remain in Somerset after Jon gets his 560! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  7. I love my 560, bar gets a bit hot, and it's 2 year warranty. I don't even prime mine for a hot start, just pull the starter. Take it back and argue! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  8. Oh I suffer from prolonged use of blowers, hedgecutters and brushcutters now, but the AV units on those are poor to none, luckily using the saws is short exposure, and as my 560 is soooooo quick it's even less time now! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  9. I understand and I agree, and I still choose to ignore people's warnings, the AV stuff probably isn't as developed as it should or could. And everybody knows science changes it's mind like a woman, what's too much or bad today is too little and good tomorrow Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  10. AV systems have moved on greatly since then though, and it's your generation (old) trying to tell my generation (young, youthful and eager) to avoid white finger and carpal tunnel, but the time stuff is stupid! 20 mins on a strimmer/brushcutter/saw/blower means nothing will get done, and for those payed a set day rate, the idea is to get done and in the pub as fast as possible! 11. Does anyone know where I can get parts for a robin dagger? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  12. I was once told about using a hot knife and strimmer cord to weld up cracks, splits and holes Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  13. Normal cigarettes! And yes, one blokes stock 260 outcut a 261 and 362 whilst we were felling Corsican pines 30"+ on Cannock chase, and even my little 236 was out cutting the 261! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  14. I have, as I said, new stihl isn't as good as old IMO, where as husqy have pulled their fingers out their ass, 361 was good, 362 and the 261 just don't seem to cut it, both get out cut by a 260 Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  15. It's not a new stihl, and the 880 is a bit heavy to fell a load of 12-30" trees Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  16. Mines just standard, you get pretty warm keeping up with the saw, and it loves oak! 9/10 I'm workin over GBL, with 8 tooth sprocket, doesn't phase it! Forget stihls! They've dropped the ball IMO with all these new saws, too restricted by emissions, especially with the 4 mix, and the saws need opening up to make em go! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  17. Can you port it? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  18. You still not got it yet Jon? Mines clocking up the hours, any reason to use it! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  19. Asbestos? Aniseed oil? Artichokes? Aeroplane fuel? Gotta be one of those Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
