  3. I have found the parts to the pole pruner, how long would it take to ship from l&s spud? Even better! They're down the road from me Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  4. Stihl ht75, needs a new drive shaft, carb kit, fuel cap and filter, spark plug boot, and the local dealer isn't being very helpful in giving me the damn prices! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  6. Nicked my boots with a saw, and once bashed my leg with the bar of my 385, plenty of pruning saw cuts, more than I can remember! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  7. If its stupid and dangerous and I died through my own fault, I wouldn't want the sympathetic attitude, I know what I'm capable of, I wouldn't do the plumbing and gas in my house, I wouldn't repair my vehicle in a major way and I don't touch electricity, I work with trees, they require enough of my thought, we've all heard plenty of stories about chainsaw accidents, I remember a few accidents in the papers in 2011, which is enough to tell me (as someone who relies on these tools as a livelihood) that you need to pay the utmost attention Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  8. It's awesome! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  9. If its dead wood on the floor on OPEN ACCESS forestry ground just drag it out, although I would guess its a fallen tree if you're wanting to chop it up Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  10. No, not a huge crime, but had he not have been doing it, he wouldn't be dead. As for bald tyres, if they pop and the driver crashes and dies, then it's their own fault! The problem is that when people take these risks other people get hurt Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  11. Emergent service worker thing, probably as I'm younger than most of you lot Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  12. Nah, 262 is old as if not older than me, bloke on horse yard is ex forestry, all his saws are 2 series pro saws, had a go with his, and the 362 was at a place I used to volunteer at, friend works there so I might see if I can buy the relic Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  13. Around late 80's to mid 90's, husky's 3 series of saws started around '97 Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  14. You never done a rotten tree? Those things just go! And this is from someone trained to do them, I once did a six inch deep cut and the tree just collapsed, the bottom of the break looks fairly straight, so it might have failed as he cut it. Unless we had a photo of the stump to look at, we can't tell how he was killed, although I would guess at it was hung up, or he felled against the lean of the tree Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  15. Good fun, the one I used ran on 3/8, it's a fair bit heavier than a 357 though, might have a word with a friend, see if its for sale Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  16. I'm going to have to slightly agree with Dave, whilst its a tragedy that someone has died, he shouldn't have been there to die in the first place, regardless of motives, unofficial permissions or anything else, you make your own decisions in life, our decision is that we are professional saw men/tree workers, and even with all our experiences we still exercise caution and watch for tell tale signs, as trees don't behave normally, and at his age he knows he can't shift as fast Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  17. If your gonna do that, then you need to add cheese and fried tomatoes! And wedges! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  18. Mmmmm steak and mushrooms I'm hungry now Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  19. Stihl won't be doing anything like the autotune, the m-tronic has to be adjusted by plugging it in, I did have a discussion with a stihl rep about it, don't seem to be interested what we saw users want, it's what they do or nothing Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  20. If you can break either huskys means you're doing it wrong, my nan swears by the sewing machines Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  21. Not the way he's holding it, his stomach would push the break off lmao Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
