  1. Speak to Adam Mason (Mason Tree Surgery) he does chipper hire and is based in Colchester!
  2. Ah ok cool, I was just trying to figure out if it's specific to the use of mewps or cranes (and scaffold/skips) or if there might be the potential for problems with generally working in or above the road.
  3. Surely having a mewp on the road is exactly the same as having a van and chipper on the road (in terms of size/space). So is the issue the work being carried out, wether it be above or on the road? Common sense should dictate that if you have signed up, coned up, hi-vised up and are working safely then you are not causing a obstruction. But then again have local councils got common sense!
  4. I just bought a 2009 model, only had it 2 weeks so can't give much advice. Will be keeping a keen eye on this thread tho.
  5. Adam Mason (Masons Tree Surgery) has an Iveco tipper for sale. He's based in Colchester so not a million miles from you. Could be worth a phone call!
  6. My stein stopped keeping me dry after about 10months. It's ok if it's a quick shower but on a day like today it's useless, the vents under the arms just let the water in. Will be buying a cut and climb asap.
  7. My fiancé uses the bands, they are amazing...We've been with people before who have been bitten all over and she won't have a single bite. Not many places sell em tho!
  8. Happens to our 261c's every day (pretty much) as above grease the bearing needle
  9. We have had this happen to both our 261s, 2/3 times on both saws. Our local dealer (Neil at Greens in Hadleigh) told us to grease the bearing every other day. This has worked so far, he has no idea why it's happening but greasing it regularly does stop the clutch drums cracking. USE PLENTY!
  10. Here's my pup...Lakeland crossed with a Jack Russell. Lot of people have asked if she's a Parsons. Really good temperament and mega friendly
  11. Anyone know the 'on the gate' ticket price? Not competing this year just coming to show support and say hello
  12. If the customer and neighbours are pleased with the work and the tree's left in good health surely that's a good result?
  13. Ace vid! Loving the winching work
  14. Chestnut fell in the woods.
  15. I had the same problem with my van. I'm now with Gladiator (reasonable prices) they are the sister company of Admiral. But it's still a commercial policy seems they won't do it for private!
  16. I'm on my 2nd pair of Haix Protectors...first pair lasted fairly well but ended up falling apart and leaking even in light showers. The second pair are 11months old and the sole has started to come away from the upper, still completely water proof tho. I'll be going on to Airstreams when these are knackered. Haix are bit too big/tall for me.
  17. Mine started off pretty waterproof but now it regularly leaks. Less than 1 year old.
  18. Hi guys, Can I tie a VT with a 75cm friction cord? If not what's a good friction hitch to use? (Using it with a Stein Skywalker) Cheers
  19. I can't fault my berlingo, really nice to drive, very good mpg and reliable. Good load space aswel, we're renovating our first house at the moment and it's amazing how much you can cram in the back. Drive my boss's combo quite a bit and I really don't like it, you sit really low and it's got poor visibility in comparison to the berlingo. Good mpg tho!
  20. Our Canter is in the garage right now with the exact same problem. It will have been off the road for 2 weeks. I'll make sure the boss reads this! Cheers Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
