1. Here's my Jack Russell x Lakeland Terrier, she's 5 months and called Poppy! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
2. We overtook a John Deere with a roller on the back in our Landy today, as we pulled out the boss turns to me and says 'this is probably the worst vehicle to overtake anything in'! Luckily we made it past just before a Mini came bombing round the next bend.
3. We have a canter at work, really good truck...great load carrier and turning circle
4. I love my berlingo van...nice to drive, very economical, reasonable insurance and brilliant for logs and kit! Buy one!

9. Cheers, yeh cheapest for me by a considerable amount!
10. Hi guys, It's that time of year again....insurance renewal time! I am thinking of going with Hastings Direct (via compare the market). Has anyone got any experience of them? Any info would be appreciated! Thanks in advance Jack
11. We had one at my old work, as mentioned above brillaint for driveways and tennis courts but crap on the grass. And useless if its damp/wet just creates ruts on lawns and makes a mess. Other thing we found anoying was that the ease of emptying the bag could have been improved. We found 2 blowers, 2 rakes and and some homemade ply 'scooping' boards to work much better!

Parkrun

I registered yesterday, so qill be doing my first one this Saturday. Also entered the London marathon ballot today!
13. Has anyone got anything in the next couple of weeks? I only have a few days booked in between now and May! Cheers
14. My mate has a trooper, its very good. As mentioned above pulls like a tank, goes anywhere (we use it offroad alot). He has taken the seats out and made a frame thing for tools, you can fit almost half a tonne of logs in the back. He has a 8ft ifor trailer which it pulls no problem. He loves it.
15. I'll be there with a couple of other guys on the Friday.
16. Well Green Tree Works are based in Glemsford, Sudbury so that area is good for me, takes me 45mins to get there so up to an hour just over really.
17. Hi Andy, I'm not leaving, its just a small company and the boss if freelanching for other people at the moment so I need extra work to tied me over. Cheers
18. Hi Guys, My name is Jack I am a self employed groundy available for work in the Essex/Suffolk area. I have my Lantra Woodchippers, NPTC CS30, NPTC Landbased Machinery. (I have my CS31 booked for the second week of May). I have a full clean driving licence and my own transport (van) and am prepared to travel. I also have an Extended Diploma in Countryside Management from Writtle College where I gained a range of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, chainsaw work, tractor work, estate maintenance, woodland management and light construction. I am currently a groundy for Green Tree Works in Suffolk and have done a few days for Masons Tree Surgery in Essex. If anyone can offer me a few days work or odd days or put me in touch with other firms it would be much appreciated. Cheers Jack
19. We had a visit from a couple of suspicious looking chaps with a certain accent at Hatfield Forest (Bishop Stortford) last week offering cheap saws, then they took a good look at the workshop. Possible the same guys, they were in a blue VW transporter. Reg was reported to the rozzers.
20.
Yeh good mate, how are you? Hows Capel Manor? Are you looking for work!

21. Thanks for the replies, the Leder Gris stuff looks good (at a decent price aswel), a useful website too. Cheers
22. Hi Guys, I was just wondering what gloves people are using and where you are getting them from? (I normally use builders type gloves) Also what boot care products are you using to re-waterproof your boots? I have been using Nikwax Wax, but mine has runout and they don't seem to sell the tinned stuff anymore. Is Bama a decent product? Any advice would be appreciated, cheers.
23. As mentioned above don't get chainsaw wellies...worst thing I have ever put on my feet (wasn't even using a saw at the time)! I would get a good quality boot, a decent brand is Haix. As for chaps/trousers I would definately buy trousers, more comfort and protection. If your gonna be wearing your kit regularly for extended amounts of time then you want good quality stuff that is comfy as well as safe. Good luck with it all though, sounds like a good project to be taking on!
24. I've driven to Les Arcs for the last two years, bit of a ball ache as the traffic is bad in the foot hills but resort and snow more than make up for it. This years snowfall is already better than last years so its going to be a good year to go! We are looking at porte du soleil for easter, seems to be the closest to drive to. (we are flying this year). Hope you have a good one!
