  14. Funny thing is, if you know what you're doing you could do the job in the same amount of time to a proper standard. It really wasn't worth the "time saving"
  15. Iv had mine for 18 months and I love it. Early 261s did eat bearings but the newer ones are fantastic. People only comment when they have something go wrong!
  16. Try a Gransfors Bruks small forest axe or Scandinavian axe. Razor sharp, perfect weight and all still made by hand. Then again I love my fiskars x10, its a bit different but its all good
  17. Plenty of pics all around the forum mate
  18. Look up wranglerstar on YouTube. He knows his stuff and explains the differences between different types of crosscut saw. He also talks through restoration and basic maintenance.
  19. I hire in a hinowa hi-lift 13.5. Great little machine as I dont really need anything bigger
  20. Cheers for the advice chaps. Im going for some Fiskars on Monday. However I will be making them more visible as I lost my fiskars brush hook a while back due to it being almost entirely black.....
  21. Sometimes I really despair of this country. Anybody can buy a rear handled saw and use it however they wish. Even if they have a criminal record and yet if the rear handle is slightly further forward its strictly regulated. Idiocy.
  22. Its interesting how the Thames Valley is dealing with the flooding as opposed to somerset. They seem to be very impatient compared to us.
  23. We now run entirely off of pallets, we get 2 pallets a day (delivered to my stepdads stationary business) and burn about 1.5 a dayish
  24. Heavy rain with more to come.
