1. We'd sell this 30t 2m stroke splitter for sensible offers as since cut back on firewood it doesn't get much use. Hydraulically adjustable 4 way knife, pto driven with own pump and tank.
2. Stop worrying about it and sell them as is, if someone wants to burn firewood then they should have storage to keep sufficient stock dry for their needs. ...You wouldn't order heating oil and ask the tanker to fill a 5 gallon drum every week.
3. The complete one could be fixed Jon, from memory it just needs core plugs.. And some general tlc of course. Yes, it's a falstone
4. Double drums are used mainly in commercial forestry so that can skid multiple quantities of logs at a time. One and a half Ford 3000s, both non runners, two Igland 4000s with extended drums and high lead towers, one Igland butt plate.... sensible offers .
5. We've got couple Igland 4000's with extended drums so can be used for high leading, towers are here too. They're not 3pl but mounted on Ford 3000s and from memory there's only one butt plate. If of interest drop me a note and I'll try get some pictures.

My Old Man has couple of Igland 4000 double drum winches, they're not 3 point linkage though but currently mounted on Ford 3000's but should be straight swap onto a Major. They have extended drums for high leading and he has the towers also.

7. To be fair Ted it's not so much bureaucracy but standardisation to make sure every inch of shipping space is utilised. To give an example - we can can fill a 20ft container with 760 boxes of one specific product when they're stacked on euro pallet. If we stack them on a cardboard sheet (no idea what technical name is) we can get.... 1200 boxes into same container. You need a special forklift to unload the cardboard sheets though so not everywhere can deal with them.
8. We've shipped to Cyorus but I wouldn't get costs until Monday, there are so many variables though so may not be much use. Edit: re variables, one recent shipment I've just found was £260 to Slovakia but that's for glass and alcohol which are right up there cost wise.
9. Having a mutually beneficial business relationship which results in freebies is completely different from an unknown going into a cafe and expecting a hot drink (to sit in) for free.

15. Malcolm Tucker's take on youth.. [ame] [/ame] Edit: bad language in clip
16. All the more reason to privatise the whole lot and move away from appointing jobs due to political patronage.
17. From today's telegraph... Executives responsible for protecting the UK from flooding were paid almost £300,000 in bonuses last year, it has emerged. David Rooke, the long-standing director of flood and coastal risk management at the Environment Agency, received a large chunk of a separate £14,000 pot for directors as part of his salary deal while other senior managers took a share of the £277,000 payout. The news came as records showed two other senior directors at the government-backed agency received large payoffs: one under a "voluntary exit agreement" and the other as part of a gardening leave payout. Pam Gilder, the outgoing director of corporate affairs, is set to pocket £112,133 under the terms of her agreement, a Sunday Times investigation found. Ed Mitchell, another director, will get £60,000 while on gardening leave after missing out on the top job and resigning as a result.
18. Felix - yes of course, understand fully as it seems TM has been convicted of serious offences involving weapons
19. That would seem relevant in the tony Martin case (though I don't really know what he was convicted of). Still doesn't make an airgun under the limit a firearm though.
20. And so it goes on.. By Laura Donnelly, Health Editor12:42AM GMT 02 Jan 2016Comments36 Comments NHS hospital chief executives have been handed pay rises of up to £35,000, with the highest annual earnings reaching a record £340,000, a Daily Telegraph investigation has found. Despite government pledges that the most senior NHS managers would have their pay frozen, 40 per cent of trusts increased executives’ wages by at least £5,000 during 2014-15. Some managers’ earnings rose by almost a quarter, the findings from more than 200 NHS trust boards show. Patients’ groups accused the NHS of “scandalous excesses” at a time when the health service is facing the greatest financial crisis in its history.
21. I don't know the ins and outs of Tony Martin's particular case but unless the airgun was over the legal limit he wasn't in possession of a firearm. Edit: I'm referring to the media report which said an airgun was recovered from his home.
22. yes, same as knife in kitchen is fine but using one to hold up the local post office is classed as armed robbery. An airgun under the legal limit is legally not defined as a firearm.
23. Very interesting but if someone can't tell difference between a wet log and a dry log from looking at it and picking it up then they shouldn't be burning wood. Likewise if they can't organise their log shed accordingly.
24. From article mentioned above: "The intruders fled when help arrived at the house in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, but the brothers chased and caught one, Walid Salem, a criminal with more than 50 previous convictions. He was then subjected to what Judge John Reddihough described as a "dreadful, violent attack" by the Hussain brothers." 50 previous convictions says it all really, how many offences have been committed that he hasn't been charged with? Eggs, Re the air rifle bit, I don't know in and outs of Tony Martin case and what he's banned from keeping, however if the air rifle was under the legal limit (as most of them are) then it's not classed as a firearm.
25. I read it was an air rifle that the police recovered from his house, didn't say whether it was one that required FAC or not. Also read in same article that he was a millionaire.
