I hope not as we have sold a load this week! I haven't heard anything about a recall on the 2511. Are there any more details as to which dealer said it and why?

We now have stock of the cs2511. Quite a few customers are already using them(those who had to send the 2510 back) and are really impressed.

We get this all the time with huskys. Easiest way is to remove the bar and chain, put the sprocket cover on and move the chain brake handle back and forth a bit until it locates into the mechanism in the sprocket cover then disengage the brake as normal. You will have to put a bit of pressure on the outside of the sprocket cover opposite the mechanism. I keep meaning to make a video of this technique as it's really easy one you have seen how to do it.

Just a bit of a useless update really as there is nothing to update, but, for those asking about when they will be available it looks like it still a couple of weeks away.

I doubt that you will find many wire core ropes that work well with a grillon. They won't run through the device properly if at all. I only ever used a wire core on dismantles, a 5m covered most jobs.

Good to see the 2511 is just as strong as the 25100. From what information I have gathered they have improved the cooling by increasing the size/shape of the coolings fins but aside from the slight increase in with around the exhaust which TBH is not an issue there is no noticeable increase in wight( I think it is 10-20g) I have had numerous PM's and emails in regards to stock of the 2511. At the minute we are only holding stock that is going to be distributed to buyers of the 2510 that requested a replacement saw. Hopefully within the next week or two we will receive excess stock for resale. Whether is is through us or another Echo dealer I just if you are interested you try to reserve yourself a saw as they are quite an amazing saw. I bet there wont be many, if anyone complaining about them. Unless they also catch fire and ruin their hairdo.

Finally received some stock last week. Only for the customer who had to send the 2510 back so no additional stock for sale yet. Once everyone has received their replacement saws we will be able to buy stock in. We also have a limited number of the sugi bars and chains in, I will get these on the web site over the next few days.

Be careful you can easily over rev the engine and cause a lot of damage. The engine is governed but you were probably overriding it. Get a tachometer and get some readings, depending on the engine you should probably be looking at 3750 rpm on full throttle no load.

We do, or well we did but I havent any left in stock. Will be getting some more on the next silky order. Definitely more power with a curved blade IME (not that im the biggest expert on handsaws thats for sure!) although a fair bit more difficult to match cuts up if required. So I suppose a straight blade is more versatile?

You want to take the cylinder off completely and put a new gasket in there, short cuts are a quick way to kill the engine. In regards to the split are you sure you arent looking at the non x-torq 372? All the intake parts are the same for the 365 and 372 X-torque.

Im not trying to teach anyone to suck eggs but the technical guys at Husky have had quite a few seized up 365's over the years in for warranty! Make sure you put it back together right and it will be fine.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. The Zubat 330 does seem popular with you all and it is our best seller by far. Im just looking to expand the range a bit but still unsure what to go for. We do have a couple of other saws in stock that arent on the web site so it might be a good idea to start with them! Darrin Turnbull, I remember having an ARS 10+years ago and it seemed to last forever! I think we have a few of those knocking about somewhere for the next up and coming giveaway. Good quality little know saws.

Just a quick one to ask which is your prefered silky saw, model and length please. Length is important, unfortunately.

Hope the little scum bags dont call into our shop! Ste was showing me the video the other day and I was very impressed. For £10 you cannot go wrong. It was a decent quality and although we have spend £2K plus on the CCTV system in our shop I am going to buy a few and place them out of sight in the shop to catch the cheeky little tea leaves that frequent the place.

While I dont expect something that costs £30 and used every day to last a lifetime I do expect people to learn from their mistakes, and husky plainly didnt. The main problem with the old combi can was that petrol swells the auto spout rendering it useless. you would think that lesson would have been learned! Everyone in Sweden will use aspen so they wont have the problem! I have complained about the above a long time ago but I havent received any feedback. Apart from the dodgy fuel spout there doesnt seem to be any other issues, crossed threads and dodgy tool holders are a new one on me. TGB, you can swap the spouts over, the threads are the same.

I would have thought they would just use an oregon chain and I didnt think there was that option with oregon. Be interesting but i'll guess its the 0.50 as I would imagine they had a lot of bars and chains stocked up for the 2510 and would doubt they want to loose any more money than they already have. I will be able to sort something out.

I "presume" it will be the 1/4" as that is what all the last 2510's where. Will hopefully find out soon!

Seriously? If that's a genuine 70cc brand new husky with an oregon,husky or maybe a stihl chain then he needs to take it back to his dealer as it's running like a piece of shite. I would be in serious trouble if that's what a 70cc machine performed like!

I was told they will be making other sizes ie 1.5mm and 3/8 but I have no idea when. We have a big husky meeting next week so hopefully I can get some more info as we find out what new products are in the pipeline. Although most of it will probably be about lawnmowers as usual:001_rolleyes:

Funnily enough we received some stock of the X-cut today, only in limited lengths as no reels available yet. Pity its only in the .325 1.3mm as it will have a very limited market!

Check that there aren't any burrs or sharp edges on the metal insert where the cord goes through the casing where the handle sits.

Had a look at and a chat with the lads at Ariens (echo importers for the UK) at the APF on Saturday. Basically it is slightly wider due to some improvements with the cooling fins. Power, weight and other features are identical. Should be with us in the next week or so, initially just for the recalled saw customers, any additional stock will go to the first come first served pre order list.

More and more customers have been asking how Brexit is affecting prices this year. So I thought it best to post a bit of information. While there have been a few small increase around 3-5% all our prices have been amended for this year except for Pfanner which will increase by about 5% when the current stock runs out and Marlow by about the same percentage. Other major brands including the following Husqvarna, Petzl, DMM, Haix, SIP, Arbortec etc will remain as is until 2017, even then I don't expect a price increase across all brands by much if at all. Stihl will hopefully drop in price and Teufelberger, ART and Distel go up and down as the exchange rate changes anyway. This is obviously only in regards to Skyland Equipment and I don't speak for any other dealers. On the plus side nearly all products are the same price if not cheaper than 18 months ago! In fact some items cost the same now as I was paying 15 years ago.
