  4. I use husky muffs and visor on my petzl, I don't have any complaints
  5. I find the petzl vertex comfy, you could use your existing ear defenders/visor to keep costs down

    I'm trying to find the pic/report but can't. I can't imagine giving up, I'm 31 now and I started when I was 18 and I don't know anything else

    Funnily enough my boss was about that age when he stopped climbing, he'll still do it though if needed. I remember seeing a pic of a blood stained harness on a spiked fence, I believe the climber survived though

    Spoke to the bloke I replaced today and the reason he stopped was a sudden fear of heights. He said as soon as he hit 42 that was it Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

    Good story and a message to us all. Once saw someone fall whilst leading a climb and got to far above his last point and fell to the ground. That was at Kendal climbing wall and landed on the rubber matting still broke his arm and a leg

    Never really had a problem with heights as I started rock climbing at 10 year old. I remember when I was training, one lad was was quite happy climbing a 70ft or over tree, but first he went on spikes he couldn't get 8ft off the ground

  15. Not sure on a starting wage nowadays, but when I started in 2001 I was being paid £60 p/day and I had nc in arboriculture, And all tickets to 39 and spraying tickets

  18. Another vote from me,great stuff. I use it more when fishing as that's when I seam to get eaten alive
