    Heights

    Good story and a message to us all. Once saw someone fall whilst leading a climb and got to far above his last point and fell to the ground. That was at Kendal climbing wall and landed on the rubber matting still broke his arm and a leg

    Heights

    Never really had a problem with heights as I started rock climbing at 10 year old. I remember when I was training, one lad was was quite happy climbing a 70ft or over tree, but first he went on spikes he couldn't get 8ft off the ground

  6. Not sure on a starting wage nowadays, but when I started in 2001 I was being paid £60 p/day and I had nc in arboriculture, And all tickets to 39 and spraying tickets

  16. Never used one myself but a lot of mates do. Been told that you get what you pay for. They don't rate the cheaper ones think they paid about £60 Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  17. As said use a hot knife or similar. Make its not a metal handle though. I use a half inch wood chisel, does a fine job Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  20. As been said driving liscence and b+e will give a distinct advantage, As well as basic chainsaw tickets. Definitely offer your services to local firms for nowt for a start, and they might end up paying if you work well, and it could all start from there
  21. Yep P'pros same problems, sole splitting, leaking and general bad wear and tear. My Airstreams are holding out much better had them 2 year

  24. I use swarfega natural. Works perfectly for me got 2 1l tubs for fiver, bargain
  25. Might have to ask, but just because they don't pay your tax are you not being employed?
