  1. Not down here Paul. Looked nice but biting wind and frost remained in the shade all day. Still bits of snow on the ground here and plenty on the moors. Does look like the chilly weather is coming to an end but still dry all week
  2. Beautiful down here again but the north of the moors is still covered in snow.
  3. Interesting that it is the same picture as my failed link up the page but different supplier. Hopfully link will work this time 40' Kiln Container - Diesel Heating | Scott+Sargeant Woodworking Machinery
  4. Thanks chaps farmerjohn The glue used is West System Epoxy with appropriate additives. Hope it's stable for a long time. Lloyds approved for boat building so fairly serious glue. Used it for various odd jobs over the years and never had a failure to date. And yes the steel gets a coarse sanding after the glue is applied. Stompy Got paid for my hours with no pre arranged price. Even charged for design time which is probably a first. Ideal customers being local, loaded and know what they want.
  5. This morning Jon Think most of it fell end of last week but we were working up the line and missed it. Been very cold here day and night so most of the snow is still left on the moors.
  6. All a bit of a cheat realy Should have been straight forward only the welding was not very accurate so had to make some adjustments with wooden packers. These are bonded to the steel with resin and then wood glue between the packers and the legs.
  7. Finished a dining table just before Christmas but no pictures until today. Pretty much the customers design in Oak.
  8. Loving this cold weather Jon:thumbup: Got loads done with firm ground plus log sales booming. Took the morning off so went up onto Dartmoor for a bit of a walk.
  9. Haha. Ye sorry it came out a bit small sort of AA size. Will try and find a larger version DD if possible This any better?
  10. Orientation is not as critical as many think. This little chart helps show possible production. Also East and West system may produce less but it's more likely to be when you are home to use it.
  11. Saw a report on some BP PV panels out in the North sea that were 20 years old. Not only working fine but had only lost a fraction of their original efficacy.
  12. Sorry forgot about this thread Mine is a homemade affair coverd in this thread http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/general-chat/58378-thinking-having-crack-making-charcoal.html Will look into potato sacks. Thanks for the suggested suppliers
  13. Tried quite a few brands over the years. Like the CMT stuff and can recomend Wealdon for unusual stuff but not quite as goot TCT as some but great prices. Oldham cutters ar nice as well. Can get these from Tilgear.
  14. Or this beast from Riko
  15. Thanks for the thought but the trailer rarely gets used these for deliveries these days Getting access to places with it was tricky enough when towing with the old 90 now with this great lump backing into drives is a nightmare. Got the pickup to use instead of the trailer.
  16. This is our single cab with greedy boards and 2 cube plus 2m3 in the trailer. Thought it a good sized load until now.
  17. Not being funny but how? Built some greedy boards for our Dmax single cab and get 2m3 on it.
  18. Looks like it's bound to happen the Express said so http://www.express.co.uk/news/nature/554183/Britain-red-alert-displaced-Polar-vortex-unleash-weather-hell-next-week
  19. Not many. Still unload the crates by hand so very slow turnaround back at base. Did 7m3 last Saturday and one of those was 3m3 to one customer. Not a hectic but probably only time to have done one more drop. Most of our loads are 2m3.
  20. Forever the optimist Steve
  21. Don't think any forecast are reliably accurate at that range. Here's one for your area for 10 days Long term forecast for Hampshire, England (United Kingdom) ? yr.no
  22. Looking cold but not excessively so from the forecasts I have seen. North westerlys for next week with some snow in the northwest and down the west on higher ground.
  23. Haha sounds a familiar problem. I don't stop it coming in but do my fair share of hoovering to make amends. Henry is my preferred weapon of choice.
  24. That is a long way to have to go. Good that your customers can take 3 cube though
