  1. I would say as I presume you wanted to run legal around 28ton .
  2. Vicarys also have a towed chipper behind a fendt tractor with crane etc on.
  3. Agreed with this post need to be nearer the £90/m3 mark really. Plus she'd needs to be very well ventilated to season wood otherwise it will go mouldy very fast. We season in crates outside during the summer then store in a partially sealed shed during winter still with plenty of air flow. A sealed grain store wouldn't really be any good assuming that is what your using.
  4. How far North East Jason roughly?
  5. Have one that's currently on 212k and still drives and runs spot on, only usual maintenance brake discs pads etc uj's on front prop etc, it does tow our 12ft ifor tipper loaded with logs quite often as well usually over its legal towing limits ;-) . it is a works pickup hence the high mileage and originally they had 3 the other 2 died at around 180k ish we'll say died head gaskets etc went. I would say at 80k your good for a while yet.
  6. The problem is people do get drawn into these scams. We sold our hp 1x37 on eBay mid summer and the chap that bought ours had fallen for a con paid 2k for a machine the same as ours that obviously never turned up but worryingly when he reported it to the police several others had also paid these people! Unfortunately for our buyer he'd paid by bacs where as some of the others paid via PayPal so got refunded but not all. Strangely enough though our processors been relisted on around several different accounts since using the same pictures as mine and also the same description but in various different parts of the country and done on profiles with 0 feedback and others with lots. The internet is quickly becoming a place to be very cautious which spoils it for genuine sellers unfortunately.
  7. There's another HP 1x37 easy on advertised in fife Scotland. This sold on eBay in Kent around 3 or 4 months ago but is using the same pics and description so if be carefull with this one as well! http://bit.ly/1hPTODN I'm struggling to see how the con works with this but I certainly wouldn't be paying until I saw it in the flesh!
  8. We have a little kubota d1105 engine running a hydraulic pump from a burnt out digger (barn fire) works brilliant uses hardly any diesel running about 1500rpm ish (no rev counter) ours has a gearbox which reduces the engine speed down but probably a good thing really as it's quite a big pump and it think the engine would struggle if straight off the fly wheel, Yours should be matched up ready though. Couple of longish pipes so splitters away from engine or can be moved around shed and quick release ends on so can still go back on tractor if needed. I think you'll be happy with it once done.
  9. Sold our hakki pilke processor on eBay it's been back on eBay around 6 times now with the same pictures and practically the same description as I wrote. Reported it the first few times but got fed up after a while it took them that long to remove I bet a half a dozen people had already been done. Shame about it was the bloke that actually bought ours had been stung on eBay also for a hakki for £2000 that obviously never turned up. Think he realised it was too good to be true pretty much straight after he'd paid turned out they'd also conned another 5 people with the same advert after he reported it to the police. So big money involved.
  10. Really like the look of some of your work on Facebook, look very good!
  11. Should be fine with a 25'' I think 30 would be asking a bit much of it to be honest, either that or would be painfully slow. I would say 660 for 30''. Just my opinion.
  12. Flash with bleach is very good at dissolving sap and oil etc from saws. Spray it on leave it 10 mins or so rinse and keep applying until clean. The aid of a toothbrush can help if really thick.
  13. Looks good, will look even better once oiled/stained. Could be a daft question but did you manage to get the top and bottom cut parallel and flat? Mine was meant to be taller but by the time I got them level it was shorter than I wanted. Ended up with it on forklift tines lowered between the log supports on the m7 as it only goes down to 16'' and wanted it 20'' then cutting the top flat with that. Any better suggestions? Tried multiple saws all ended up with slight curves or lumps missing by the time I'd got through.
  14. To be honest I'm expecting it to split and it is already getting some slight cracks, think that will add to the effect though. Still got another 2/3rds of the log left but unsure if what to make with it yet, maybe I'll be inspired at some point soon.
  15. Believe it or not sweet chesnut. I just hope it doesn't crack too much, log was about 14 months old in the round with no bark on but it is still quite wet when working it. Fingers crossed.
  16. Only seem to be able to attach 1 attachment with iPad.
  17. Milled some timber using a logosol m7 unfortunately didn't take a picture of the full process like a div. Anyway end product as in attachment can the keen eyes tell what the timber is though. Finished with rustins tung oil. Also a solid oak block idea stolen from Robs treet website. Sorry Rob.
  18. Might be a daft question but how much difference is there in weight from a standard bar to the light bar or no idea until they turn up? Thinking sort of 25'' 3/8 stihl fitting type. Thanks Chris
  19. Fully agree, use mine on a logosol M7 and Alaksan both with the chain brake handle fitted and no problems whatsoever, do have the spikes removed for use on the Logosol though. I think he either removed the brake handle to get rid of the year of manufacture sticker as its older than stated or it has been broke and cant be bothered fixing it! Just my opinion.
  20. I bet he doesn't publish that question & answer on the eBay listing!
  21. I know Jon, knowing how our 880 starts wouldn't even think about it with brake off never mind one not fitted. Hopefully it goes cheap and the buyer repairs the brake handle, well refits one rather than repair ha.
