  1. The MS250 should come with .325 as standard. They can run upto an 18" bar on .325 so not sure why the dealer told you that, or why it's on 3/8p?
  2. Looks like its has now been removed. I reported it to eBay earlier, hopefully that's the reason it's been removed and someone's not done a deal out of eBay and bought it as won't even be able to leave negative feedback seriously not funny!!!!
  3. I know you probably get fed up of replying to everyone spud, but just wondered what type of vacuum/pressure tester you used. Seen a Sealey one on ebay that I didnt think looked bad your thoughts? Sealey VS403 Vacuum & Pressure Test/Bleed Kit | eBay Cheers Chris
  4. That's pretty much how I'd seen it as well, they just blatently copy the eBay ads onto gumtree!!!
  5. His details are: PC Robin Place (not Plaice as I had put before). Email address is: [email protected] Telephone Number: 0300 123 4455 or 4594. He might be the wrong person regarding this but I think he will definately be able to help you. He will need as much info as what you can give him, emails, texts, bank/payment details etc, but I'm sure he'll explain all that too you. Sorry to hear about it again seems to be so many people out there ready to fleece you it gives the honest sellers a bad rep. Cheers Chris
  6. Be very careful with Gumtree, it seems to be riddled with corrupt people that are willing to take your money and give you nothing in return. I have noticed over the last month or so that there will be saws listed on ebay then a few days after they have ended get listed on Gumtree for half the price they sold for and in a completely different part of the country but still using the same pictures. I got stung via a gumtree ad for 2 Iphones all seemed very genuine had numerous messages as thought it was too good to be true, talked myself into it as you do sometimes and as soon as money had been transferred heard nothing ever again. Ended up searching Google about it and came across a Police Officer called Robin Plaice who is specialising in Gumtree Fraud which made me realise how big this problem is. Turned out he had 100's of people that all been conned the same as me and had a big list if names account numbers etc that these fraudsters had been using. If you want I can give you his email address to report your incident, dont think you'll get your money back but at least they are aware of it and saves other people in the future getting stung by these people. Cheers Chris
  7. I've also had bother with mine doing very similar things to this. 1st time if you take the top cover off the carb to access the metering diaphram this model breaths just through a hole in the top and not through the air filter like more pro saws and as such gets a build up of dust on top of the metering diaphram and cuts fuel supply. 2nd time it turned out to be the fuel line from the tank to the carb it has a pretty bad bend in it and mine had got perished and started sucking air, lucky realised before doing any harm to P&C. Probably neither but thought it might help.
  8. Hi Liam, Probably a bit late to reply regarding this now but F G Rowlands in Clitheroe hire 10'' wood chippers although they are £100/day or £400/wk. Cheers Chris
  9. All, Quick question, just had my MS261 in for some warranty work basically sprocket bearing failed and wore the crank. All replaced under warranty ie new crank sprocket bearings seals etc but took them 2 months to do it, thankfully had another saw to use but was getting mightly pissed off towards the end and they've also managed to get out of 2 months worth of warranty by having it so long. Just wondered if this was normal or my local dealer isnt all that cracking?? Cheers Chris
  10. Thanks all for your reply's, tried a number of tree surgeons local to me but they either split and sell the logs themselves or already have people that are taking the wood/chips off there hands. Not in a great rush so will try more in the summer when demand isn't quite as high maybe have more luck then? Many again Chris
  11. I was just wondering if it too much/cheeky to ask for arborists/tree surgeons to drop off unwanted wood at our farm in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. I am willing to take wood chips as part of the deal as we can spread these on the land in the summer to help with our heavy clay soils but obviously mainly after the logs to burn on the wood stove!! Am I just being crazy/out of head thinking anyone will be willing to do this or reasonable?? Info please. Newbie Chris
