  3. I see your point and its fascinating but at some point before the "intelligence" it must have made an evolutionary leap of chance?
  4. something happened genetically that made one plant slightly less edible than the other plants. The genes were passed on through seeds and several or several hundred mutations later over millions of years you get todays version. Just my thoughts.

  8. I only used prussic for 25yrs - I developed callus on my elbows !
  9. looks like bacterial canker to me - I would not fell this tree - its young and I cant see it being a problem at the moment - light crown reduction

  13. My friend says Natural Englands funds have dropped considerably over recent years - 5 yrs ago there would probably have funded the venture but not now. As for available land, apart from the bodies already mentioned, some local authorities may have some land available.
  14. first contact A A and Forestry Commission to see if anything already started, if not contact the Woodland Trust eg to see if they have the right type of land available. For funding maybe Natural England - it might come under one of their schemes - I will ask a friend tonight - he works for them. If so,it opens up the potential for any landowner (with the right land)
