  2. Really cold, damp and windy here today. Think I will stay in bed tomorrow by the sounds of the weather forecast

  4. Been raining here this morning, now dry but grey and overcast. Worst winter I can remember in all my years. Just so fed up with it
  5. Cut my lawn on Friday as it was getting very long. Had a couple of nice spring days but back to winter today with rain all day
  6. I own a stand alone parcel of woodland with roads at either end. I have access at one end of the wood. At the other end there is a five bar gate that has been there many years. I applied to the Council to have a dropped kerb put in so I could use the gate. This would make it so much easier to get into this end of the wood during the winter. At present I have to drive the length of the wood. The Council has told me they would block any attempt to get permission. I am in constant contact with the woodland Officer from the Forestry Commission and they have been very helpful on what I have done so far. I have planted a fair few trees, and also hedges along the boundary.
  7. I have been to that village, some interesting history there. Lovely area to live as well

  17. Thanks for the reply Stubby, there is some massive pine trees that have been felled by me and no one wants them. Looks like I will be cutting them up and bringing them home.
  18. I have never burnt much softwood because I was told the fumes damage the flue liner is this true?? What is lime like to burn when it is dry
