  1. What would those trick things be then spud. Do spill. Please.
  2. So you want a giant quad bike then. I have driven a fare few of them. The lock is rubbish unless you get narrow wheels and tyres on them and then the lock can be increased to give a bit more. For "working" in an agri context they are not good, poor traction and a jumpy suspension mean field working is more like being on a boat than a tractor. But for contracting and running on roads there are brilliant. I always saw them as a contractors tractor for pulling large loads and low loaders. The last ones drove is below and this one I would recommend to anyone, had it on demo at the farm I worked on. Loved it fully. Very powerfull and very fast. I had 40mph going uphill pulling grain trailer. The exhaust was given to a university to get the most power from it and the best sound. I reckon it would give the boy racers a run for there money. Semi auto gearbox, wi touch screen display, can choose the gear ratios to match what you are doing, can set the hydraulics, four wheel drive auto select and diff locks to what you want, so either they come in on a certain wheel slip or a certain % of wheel turn. Short it's the best one I can think that jcb has made, they have tried to make a proper tractor and succeeded in every way. Try and get one on demo.
  3. Ok. I'm not old or out of touch but what the **** **** was that..... On person on a bad high to me. Very strange things happen to very bored people. I'm going to see if I can get something done on the lifeboat. Should be a good laugh.
  4. Just looked back and its a 116....: so would I take this to destruction or not. Guess if it went too far a cans trip it and sell the parts. I will have to think about this one as it could be a job while I'm sorting out a motocross engine. Got my eyes on a 350 one I've spoken to the owner and awaiting his reply. The bike it was on was trashed, he not sure of he is keeping it or not.
  5. To be honest spud I like working on the other saws. I don't find them fidly to annoying at all. Sometimes I swear over getting the carb boot on like the 026 onwards. Or the impulse line. But once you have the knack for them it isn't hard. And yes not doing the full service job on a saw isn't what I aim for. It's all or nothing, in for the penny in for the pound. And by the time you have gone deep enough to change a bearing or seal you may aswell look at the other parts while your there. I've god a dolmar come my way. This one is now been given a s they don't want to repair the saw and dont want it back. I will have to look what one it is but I did post asking for a brake drum for it. I don't know if I want to put it on the shelf for parts or sell the parts...
  6. Good advice. But with the 200t these symptoms can be caused by all manor of problems. Iffy carb, seals, bearings, crank gasket, piston worn, ignitions wrong. The 200t is the most fidly saw I have ever worked on. It can be a real pain or can play nicely and fix straight away. But they are still the best saw ever made IMO. Other than the 088 of course.
  7. I've been looking at the new ps4 and I'm on the side of caution, after the Xbox fiasco and the problems they had with the ps3 I'm going to wait a year and see if any bugs come out with it.
  8. The trimmer sons seized to me, as gardenkit said the clutch will still allow the engine to turn over. Unless the clutch has exploded. If the warranty doesn't work out remove the pull cord cover and assembly and get a socket on the flywheel and see if the engine will move then. If it grinds out its knackerd. Don't know about the other thing, but I'm with gardenkit over the repairs. Waste of time and money. Cheaper to buy another.
  9. Yep I agree with the masses. I got the other half a wii a year ago. It has sat in the cupboard since last summer. And I got a lot of controllers and games for it. Got most of the stuff from ebay. Cheap and cheerful. IMO the graphics are not good (remind me of the n64) and the novelty of how it works wears thin, plus the games are not that good at all. We know use the ps3 with the move system as its much better and you can play a lot more games. Try and persuade against the wii and go for something else. For the money and graphics I would go for either Xbox or ps3.
  10. Ok. Will call tomorrow with it in front of me and see what we can work out.
  11. Well the thing is my humour is not appreciated at home so have to keep the jokes to a minimum... Can't figure out why as I think I'm hilarious:lol::lol: And yes I knew the spelling was wrong it hey that's just the way I roll
  12. Carefull it doesn't drive you cookoo will get me coat.
  13. Hate to say it but everyone learns on the job. College or not, always learning.
  14. Oiling is fine. No puddles either. Ok will order those bits. Out of curiosity what oil are you using for the chain? I know it was empty when it turned up. BARRIE.... 1122 358 1800 filter 1120 358 8105 insert 1121 350 5802 tank vent. I think I'm sure these might come as a package but not sure. Tank vent for 026. It's the mushroom type valve in the tank. Can you find out these for me please.
  15. Mine broke. Not getting another pair. Will buy a proper pair. But there other stuff has Ben fine. Got the set of thread cutters, a vice, and a spanner set, the spanners where 3.99 as there the last ones.
  16. I'm going to get one of these. As its been said. Get out of jail free card. For the times I'm actually going to need it, it will sit in the truck until I do need it. Would be worth getting two, as when one goes wrong it just goes in the scrap pile and the other one comes out the box. Would be good for an emergency but I would never trust it to actually work.

    Fake Saws

Gob smacked. The last two on ebay have sold for nearly 200 quid each..... That's crazy. Would love to be the fly on the wall when the new owners take them to a stihl dealer when they go wrong.

    Fake Saws

What's it a fake to:confused1: There is no name on it so can't really be a "fake" as its not copying anything. Might have the same colours as stihl but doesn't say stihl. Althought I did have a chuckle over it being called an mt9999... Wounder what the other models are called..
  19. Had a go over div-h's 026 today. Pressure test was all good and no leaks. Comp test come in at 160psi so not far out your test dave. All working well, will run it for a few more tests again just so ensure I'm all happy with it before sending it back to you. Do you want me to order and fit the tank vent stuff?
  20. Capstan winches are the easiest thing to use. The hardest part is trying not to get riding turns and knowing how to deal with them. Can really ruin your day if they go wrong.
  21. Too true spud. I felt the same way about the 200t from hell. I should have checked the rings and didn't. It turns into a very steep learning curve and makes a better tech for it. IMO. We've all done it but only the once. Took the 026 out today. Still havnt done many tests on it but it ran good today and as it should. There is one quirk with it. When cold if left on its side, clutch side down, it will stall out after a short while. Will fire straight back up again and once warm won't do it. So a pressure and vac test is in order just to make sure. Want do it if turned the other way up. But it is a very good saw. Cut into a bit of thick timber later on and it cut through no problem.
  22. To be honest I didn't even get to plug the tester into it. The pull was really good. And because it fired up I didn't bother. But will give it a good mot tommorow.
  23. I'm saying nothing David. But I'm hopping to either. Will have to take the toolbox with me so I can test it as I go aswell. But the way it fired up earlier has got my hopes up on it quietly confident.
  24. . I did wounder about all this. Forst red flag was the import gearbox and sensor. Good one. Now do one...
  25. That's he sort of thing I need to be looking at making. If you can email him Jon can you ask if I can pick his brains a bit about the ins and outs of it all. A bit of background knowledge goes a very long way. Cheers mate
