  2. Funny you say that Rupe, i twisted an ankle a couple of weeks ago and ended up with back pain because of the way i was hobblin around nursing it, Just back from the docs and he thinks it was a trapped nerve! going by how its eased and the pain i'm in now is more of a muscular soreness than the sharp pulsing pain i was in feeling all yesterday, strong ibuprofen is doing the trick on the pain now. Wish i'd tried ibuprofen 1st thing yesterday i always reach straight for the strongest thing i can get my hands on and had some co-dydramol left over from when i was in a car smash a couple of years ago, they didn't work a bit for the pain but some low dosage over the counter ibuprofen took the edge of in around 20mins! Goes to show how some meds treat pain better than others, Thanks again to rupe for the advice, life saver.
  3. Cheers for the reply Rupe, It's eased a little over night i'm going to get myself to the docs this morning, the ibuprofen took the edge of it better the codine so i didnt get a bad nights sleep in the end, Thanks again N,B
  4. absolutely heart breaking!! poor little lad, i dont know what else to say, i have two little girls that are my absolute world! It puts an horrible feeling of dread straight to my core at the thought of them being anywhere near any of my equipment!
  5. Got woke up a 4.30 this morning by the worst pain i've ever felt pulsing down my spine into my arms and legs!! I haven't got a clue how i've done it or what to do, it hurts that much i cant face the drive to the doctors or hospital. I can hardly move my arms or walk without it pulsing which nearly puts my to the floor! Has anyone else ever had anything like this and how did you ease the pain and get it to pass??? I'm loaded on codine pain killers and nothing is even takin the edge of it!! Many Thanks N,B

  9. Got to admit although its wrong i'd probably do the same, or at least warn him that a thrashin could be on the cards
  10. don't i'd bother, seems more effort imo! I'd sooner just blast a Gransfors through in1 rather than mess about swinging handles around just begging for a nice fat pinch of sum skin!
  11. i'v got 1 and love it! Used to get bad pain in my right elbow, the powerball didnt get rid of it but raised the pain barrier to the point where a normal days work wouldn't hurt it anymore. Great bit of kit!
  12. Get rid of the secondry bevel on your mora hook knife and it will cut as good as any hook knife on the market:thumbup1:
  13. think it might be a H.S.E thing in the uk, not 100% sure tho:confused1: Not so much that it isnt safe to use like you say we climb with 8mm hitch cord just that if something happened and you where using a mainline not up to the task in the eyes of the h.s.e you could be left without a pot to piddle in!
  14. Scott Forest wrote a little piece on the tree tools blog about a cut piece having to be lowered over his dynamic lanyard, the friction instantly burned through the sheath of the dynamic rope writing off the lanyard in 1 go!! a risk you could take with a lanyard but not your main climbing line imo! Also isn't the min recommended diameter for a mainline 10mm???
  15. Very nice baggy. The top 6 are very similar to the style that Jon Mac carves in, do you follow his blog??
  16. beat me to it pedroski!! was going to try out my newly learnt skill:thumbup:

  18. Hi, is anyone climbing on the yale blue tongue?? Need a new 37m rope and was thinking of trying it, would the 11.7diameter be any good for the R.W as well as the spiderjack?? Cheers Fellas Nellybelly
  19. Have to admit a little insensitive sorry didn't mean anything malicious by it I will admit to being single minded when it comes to buying kit! When i was trying to put my climbing kit together i had a couple of times when i was made to feel like an idiot by asking questions and advice. Left a bit of a sour taste so now i use just the bigger company now, pricing it up over 3 or 4 websites and going for the best deal.
  20. I found a good sized lizzard that had been squashed in a pack of indian flagstones giving little green woodchopper a hand last friday!! Not sure if it was a native, never seen 1 like it before!

  23. Nice vid dude, even at this time in the morning with a wisdom tooth giving me jip!!
  24. I've had a couple of the samurai one's, they didnt seem to bad! the curved blade 330mm job seemed the best out the bunch.
