  1. Give steve wheeler a try, pretty sure he's based in cleobury now, he mite want you to do your ua1 as well tho.
  2. to get the best out of the mora knives you need to sharpen out the secondry bevel so that its completely flat, should be fine then, the double edge knives aren't the best in the long run as you mite find you have more control with your finger on the back of the blade for some cuts and finer finishing cuts.
  3. Stick an advert up on bodgers.org.uk its a greenwood workers website, I think there's quite a big greenwood working community around suffolk, Someone's bound to be looking for some for hurdle making
  4. or how about 1 of the continuation training days that Treepartner or companys like that offer showing the safe use of newer equipment
  5. Cracking idea Simon! Should start a new thread to get a feel for what others think and how many are interested and where they are.
  6. How about seminars and workshops, or recreational climbs with other like minded people to expand your skills
  7. i've used a type of resin in the past that when mixed with a little saw dust from the same piece that your working blended in perfectly, Cant for the life of me remember what its called tho, give me an hour or so i'll have a look through my sheds and see if i can find it for you.
  8. had similar thing on a campsite in north wales, tenner for a bag of logs didnt seem to bad untill i got it and it was a half full tesco bag of kindling, paid my money like a good boy but it cost him a railway sleeper and a few fence posts that went on the fire after dark.
  9. Does anyone know where i could get my 201 sorted like the 1 in the vid?? I'm not impressed at all with it seems flat and got no guts to it at all! Really wish i'd got a 200t instead i've been close to launching out the tree a few times.
  10. Depends on the amount of water in there, if its a small pond you'd be surprised how quickly the tannin can effect the p,h levels.
  11. I'd go for alder, oak and sweet chest nut tannin is really acidic and if they'r going to put koi , orf or ornamental trout in there they wont tolerate a low p,h level
  12. Genius! although its pretty damn cold here in wales! Tuck it in then and pretend to be a woman for the day insisting on being called pauline
  13. Spot on fella, always do my own checks as i've had plenty of people try it on with the old "this area isn't covered in the conservation area" 95% of the time it is! Like Rupe said i've always been a fan of fire myself Or play the nutcase card and turn up naked covered head to toe in black boot polish to do the rest of the work:confused1:
  14. They'v already tried it on by getting him to drop it when its in a conservation area so in my eyes deserve a bit back
  15. i'd ring the council and ask to have a T,P,O put on the other tree!! That'l throw a spanner in the works for him
  16. i was once lucky enough to catch a known local scumbag breaking into my van! Funny thing about it was he actually seemed surprised when the headbutt i launched at him landed sweet on the end of his nose, volleyed him round the carpark for a good 5mins after that just to make sure he got the message that i was trying to put across. best part was when a local copper stopped me a few days later and congratulated me on my handy work. shame it cant be like that every time and you catch them in the act, and i can honestly say that my reaction would be the same every time.
  17. Had mine about 18months now and loved it from day1! Really comfy, the rigid leg loop are really supportive but still a good range of movement, love the fixed side d's as well (there always where i left em). It's taken loads of abuse and still looks like new.
  18. Done!! If your looking to go out and have a play on them closer to the time would be glad to meet up and have a go
  19. Hi Does anyone need a part time subby a couple of days per week? Got my C.S 30 31 38 & 39 and will graft hard all day every day!! Reliable and willing to give it my best every time. Can be flexible on days/hours and will work weekends as well. Cheers
  20. TVE are in Leintwardine and if its ali your after there probably your best bet, they've custom made bits for us over the years and are really well priced, PMS plastics are on the industrial estate on the bromyard road, i think they can do 1 off pieces/protos but not sure how they price.
  21. Yeah drew another tenbury boy! you where a couple of years above me at school (when i rocked in), can remember some of your mountain bike stunts around the place! I'm a mate of jim colemans, was him who told me where you'd gone and what you'd been up to.
  22. for a plastic prototype try p.m.s plastics in Tenbury, sure someone there could help, or teme valley engineering for any metal work.
