  1. A few jobs from this week.
  2. It was at Balmacewen Golf Club. Even made it into the local paper; http://www.odt.co.nz/news/dunedin/316402/golfers-hazard-becomes-firewood
  3. A job we did a couple of weeks back. 11 large pines at a local golf club. 150t of timber, 110 cube of chip.
  4. We chipped them where I used to work in Christchurch. However I don't want to do that with our 2yr old chipper!
  5. Do you find the area that gets stabbed swells up and is sore for a few days? One went through my boot into my foot, still sore three days later! Last time it happened I ended up in hospital!
  6. We don't chip them, not worth buggering up the chipper!
  7. A tossed cube- if it's oak or pine it's still the same volume.
  8. I've been wanting to share to my fellow Englishman the work we do here in NZ. Who lives in a pineapple under the sea??? Humming the tune as we prune this Phenix Palm.
  9. Not that big- 20t excavator will do it easy
  10. We have a hi-lux for small deliveries. Does 2 cube fine, just put a tipper on it, best thing ever! Paid $16000 5 years ago, about £7500.
  11. Dismantle lower half- fell the rest onto the lawn. Would take us a easy day to do with our gear. $1600+GST
  12. I would have done it but wouldn't expect my staff to do it if they weren't happy to do so
  13. Apparently that's what's my father used to do in his youth!
  14. 10 points- had a wee look.
  15. Up a 90ft pine removal today- saw something in the bush. Can you guess what it is? What would you do if you found it?? A bit closer....
  16. At the moment I'm working 7.30 till 8pm most days although it was 10pm when I walked in the door on Monday. Working like this isn't sustainable and it effects your health, family life and work.
  17. We did a job like this a couple of years ago- something a bit different
  18. We require a experienced arborist in dunedin. Pm me for more details or visit http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=698316074&ed=true
  19. Don't you love it when that happened? I had two massive elm log steady to be milled- they got cut up, nearly cried!
  20. That's pretty much what happened here, the bloke was trying to sell me new saws before I even got a look at the original ones. There wasn't really anything wrong with them, just couldn't get them to idle quite right. Needless to say I won't be using him again.
  21. It was the first and last time I'll be using them. There only 15 minutes away. The guy I normally use (who's English) is a hour away but brilliant. Managed to get the saws back together and will be going for a drive to see Steve- locally known as "the pom on the hill"
  22. Here's the 361-
