  1. We've just bought 100 acres for $280000 ( about £118000 at the moment) This is in NZ though. (Don't come here, it's horrible! 😄)
  2. Your entitled to your opinion (even if it is wrong!)
  3. Have you seen the size of the spar he's rigging down? It's not going anywhere!
  4. What a load of rubbish!
  5. A crane cut is different to a step cut. With a crane cut you cut three quarters of the way through the stem then from the other side you cut on a angle down onto the first cut. This means the piece can be cut without trapping the saw or shock loading the crane. As others have said- snatching bits off with a crane isn't a good idea.
  6. Good post- totally agree
  7. Good bit of kit. Is there a reason he wasn't using crane cuts?
  8. How long is the rope?
  9. If it were me I would cut the bad part out and make 2 out if the one. A new rope is £100-£150? How much if your life worth?
  10. Good tune- great to see live if you ever get the chance!
  11. Pictures? Sounds fantastic!
  12. Been doing home brew for the last 5 years or so, try and keep around the 50 dozen pint mark so it has time to mature.
  13. We have this on our T&C's TREE PRESERVATION ORDERS AND CONSERVATION AREAS The trees in the contract may be protected by the local or regional authority. Where it is necessary to obtain consents from the relevant authorities, it will remain the responsibility of the tree owner, unless Eco Tree Care Ltd is authorised by the owners to carry out this service in the contract.
  14. How do you make them? They look bloody good!
  15. You needs terms and conditions on your quotations.
  16. I would say the same- yes
  17. What would be the point? You have a vehicle with a chipper mounted on it- all you can do is chip with it. Mot, insurance and registration for something you can only do one thing with. At least with a tranny, landrover, MOG whatever you can still use it to cart stuff around. If you were going to mount a chipper on something buy a MOG
  18. £1200- allowing a day and a half. If the guys get it done in a day, buy them a beer!
  19. A couple, both age 78, went to a sex therapist's office. The doctor asked, "What can I do for you?" The man said, "Will you watch us have sex?" The doctor looked puzzled, but agreed. When the couple finished, the doctor said, "There's nothing wrong with the way you have sex," and charged them $50. This happened several weeks in a row. The couple would make an appointment, have sex with no problems, pay the doctor, then leave. Finally, the doctor asked, "Just exactly what are you trying to find out?" "We're not trying to find out anything," the husband replied. "She's married and we can't go to her house. I'm married and we can't go to my house. The Holiday Inn charges $90. The Hilton charges $108. We do it here for $50...and I get $43 back from Medicare.
  20. £600 for two guys, truck and chipper

  23. Yeah.... Whatever dude
  24. Don't agree with that at all- there a heaps of deer where I grew up, try and get permission to shoot them? No chance!
  25. .... Shoot them? Sheep would be a easier target for them than deer- it's just idiot logic
