  1. Its all there as far as I can see except for one plastic clip for the top cover . I know that's missing coz I blagged it . There is also a brand new aftermarket pot and piston . Have sent you a pm .
  2. Is it anywhere near the sea ? there are some oaks near me that are stunted due to I assume , the brackish water / salt air

    Big saws

Some of the 2 series Husqvarnas are good old saws . 288 was a stonker . Or perhaps the bigger Dolmars ?
  6. A larger bore will decrease velocity unless its pulled in by a larger piston/engine. There must be an optimum ratio for carb bore size against piston bore and stroke . ?
  7. Great epitaph . Glad he went in his sleep peacefully . My old Dad is 89 this Thursday . Hope when he goes its the same .

  13. Fat one with the beard !
  14. Sent a 200t a few weeks back by parcel force . Drain all fluids and seal the power head in a plastic bag before packing to prevent any fuel smell getting out . I had no problems at all . just took it to the post office . They weighed it and give you he options including insurance according to your valuation . Mine went 24hr with tracking number and signed for .
  15. Please don't put up the result . I want to watch it on ITV 4 tomorrow night
  16. I have a box with one in . It had a scored pot and piston . Got an aftermarket one to go on but never got around to it . I expect the carb boot was split making it run lean or something similar . Any good ?
  17. We had hail this afternoon just over the border from you . Chilly tonight !
  18. Looks inviting Paul . You must be hard as nails bud if that's your first fire !
  19. It goes off like concrete when its seasoned right out . I split some last summer that was taken from a dead standing tree but was full of rain water . As the ram pushed against the log water squirted out . Tried to split a lump today from log store to make some kindling and the axe just bounced off . Hard as a hoers arse !
  20. Choke thing on the T540 is normal it seems . Mine is the same along with every one else . Loads on here about T540 if you do a search . What capacity saws are you thinking of to fill; the gap ?
