  3. I have seen some of those cracked open on the ground . Hatched , magpie or crow can't really say . Also duck egg shells .
  4. What are " our commitments " ? If there was any way you could avoid a nuclear holocaust ( assuming , god forbid , you were in charge ) would you take it ? or would you say fuck it lets stick it to that " mug "

  11. TCD who used to be a member on here is seriously thinking of calling it a day . Forestry is his trade but in Devon there has been sooooo much rain he has only been able to work a fraction of what he should . Big machines ( harvester , forwarder , etc ) to pay for .........
  12. A bit of a come down perhaps but we had a grass cutting round as well as our tree work . Not collect garden stuff but West Sussex CC . Empty buildings owned by them ear marked for housing dev . Some times it was hard to fit it all in . You could try diversifying into that ?
  13. I think some soft woods give out more heat than some hard woods . Just for a shorter time . The calorific value of wood by weight is pretty much the same . E.g. three Larch logs that weigh the same as one Holme Oak log will give out the same energy heat wise .
  14. Get a fair bit of gardening done .
  15. Get a pen . Turn the piece by hand whilst holding the pen against the face . Take it out of the centers and band saw the worst off to out side the line . Put it back between the centers and start on a lowish speed taking fine cuts until it comes into balance .
