    This also " glazes " the rings and bore so the ring don't bed in .
  2. They probably mean Holm Oak , sometimes refereed to as " green oak " as its evergreen . Also " holly oak " ...Quercus Ilex .

  4. The body was all beat up from the woods but the engine and transmission were always looked after .
  5. Just watched my old D22 go up the road . No sign of any smoke and drives like a dream . Oil and filter changed every 6K on the dot . Sold it for £500 with 100K on the clock . If he does the same with the oil it might do another 100K !
  6. The gasket gets sucked in to the two haves making oil leak and get burnt on the exhaust can . This has been sorted on later models by adding another crank case bolt . Yours may be the model with one less ?

  11. I have the Huawei tablet only because they gave me it for free . It mates with my Huawei phone and I can " gift " the data from the tablet to the phone should I ever need to . Unlikely as I mostly use the WiFi . I do think however it is a useful addition .
  12. Don't forget to check all the other things that may or may not have caused the piston to become scored . It might be because the bearing cage collapsed but it might be there was an air leek making it run lean . It would be a shame to rebuild it only for it to nip up and have a lean seize ...
  13. Chain saw wellies are THE MOST uncomfortable things I have ever tried . I am going back several decades but they were 'orrible . By proper boots , cheap new ones or second hand .

    The latest is .... My wife had a telephone appointment with one of the doctors at the surgery she is registered with ( organized by one of the doctors at the surgery she works at ) Its all on the hurry up now . Endoscopy and/or CT scan looming together with blood test for liver function . Also , not at our instigation , there is an internal disciplinary thing as to why it was missed on the notes . May help others in the future . That's all I can tell you so far . I would like to thank all you guys for you good wishes and thoughts . Lets hope they won't be needed !

  16. Just send it to Spud then you will have 2 perfectly good working saws . Simples .
  17. 390XP is a lot more saw and will run a 28" ( I do on my spud ported one ) no problem . Bit of a big ask on a 365 though .

    Thanks for your good wishes but she wont want wrapping up . Sh is an ex copper who has a pension and commendation for disarming a nut job who was discharging a shot gun from a block of flats . ( this before I met her ) If it is bad news she will take the piss out of it to the end I know .
