  1. Just got my Husky back apparently it was the plastic oil drive underneath the drive sprocket had failed, Husky did the work under warranty, so I'm a happy bunny now.
  2. Thanks, guys will try that one, I found this site http://www.canopylanduse.co.uk/firewood-roundwood-timber-for-sale.htm last night I'll give them a ring to.
  3. Hi, can anyone give me an idea of cost and where I would be able to get a lorry/Artic of hardwood for us to process into logs I live in Wiltshire, I have looked at the Forestry Commission site but being a noob not sure how you go about it.
  4. Hi, Wick not sure what happened I've taken it to the local Husky dealer they think the clutch housing has warped somehow and isn't running true anymore, As the saw had only done 2hrs work they are sure it will come under the warranty.
  5. Thanks, guys for the info, went for the 390xp and oh man what a saw, cutting like a hot knife through marg, I'm one very happy camper.
  6. Thanks Ian… just been to the local dealer and they have a 390xp with a 24” for £819 including vat, the guy in there said the same as you.
  7. Just wondering if anyone has views on a Husqvarna 365, I've been looking at getting one to go with my 550xp (when it's fixed) so I can use a longer bar length (28"), I'm living on a farm and have access to a lot of fallen trees that I can turn in to logs, but as I'm fairly new to all this I'm not sure what the equivalent Stihl is or if 365 is the right one to go with.
  8. Thanks, Guys had the clutch off it only turns about a 1/4 of an inch then solid, as I'm new to all this I going to take it to the local dealer, just thought that maybe as a new user that I was missing or doing something stupid. But thanks again guys for the replies.
  9. I have just brought a Husqvarna 550xp new ran the saw yesterday for a couple of hours no problem, but as I finished cutting the chain stop spinning, at first I thought that there was something stuck in the casing so this morning I took all the covers off and checked, there was nothing there but the drive sprocket will not run freely. So I can start the saw and it will run but as soon as I throttle up the engine dies and I can't move the chain freely with the brake in the off position. Any Ideas?
