    It is reacting to being " boxed in " by all the hard standing that surrounds it . The roots cant breath and possibly are girdled .

    Whatever gets round the bar for the ambient temperature that you are working in . In other words If its the depths of winter and -10c then you don't want a thick one . Conversely if its 28c and you are sweating your gonads off you don't want a piss thin one .

    A " lavant " is a winter born river . The village has one such river running through it . Hence the name . @sime42

    We sometimes get the train to Clapham and then on to Twickenham Stoop for the rugby . And recently I was up there to watch my daughter in a show at Battersea arts center . Maybe that was it ? Its Lavant by the way .

    Run it like you stole it ! What ever you do don't let it tick over on the ground for a tank full . Worst thing you could do . Won't get so much lube and will glaze up the bore . Use it flat out in short bursts to start with . Small cuts and occasionally vary how much revs you give it . Don't over heat it . After a couple of tank fulls the rings will bed in and you can go for it .

    No mate . Not close by . Probably an hour and a half away . I am in a village called Lavant , at the foot of the downs ( in the South Downs National Park ) . 2 or 3 miles north of Chichester if you are interested . 🙂

    Heathrow closed until at least midnight due to a fire in a local sub station . Thats going to complicate things for a bit .

    Morning all . After a glorious day yesterday its back to 10/10ths cloud cover and very light rain . Not cold though.

    Speed seems to vary for me Steve . Right now it almost as quick as before whatever you did to it but earlier this evening I had to quit trying to look at Unread Posts as just would not load .

    Light frost again 1c Good morning all . Daughter got a blow out in her little Fiat last night . Got to go and see if I can get a jack under it this morning . Not much clearance . No spare wheel . If I can get it off then take it to my local tier folks ACC at Stretington . If not they might have to come out . They have pickups with compressors on board as they do all the agg stuff round here . I have known Lisa Emmerson who owns the outfit for about 50 years .
