  1. This is why I don't like combi systems . They are a compromise ( as is life ) . I have a dedicated machine for each job . Single sided hedge cutter , double sided long reach hedge cutter long reach pole saw and 2 strimmers ( 45cc and 55cc ) I know its more kit to carry but the job gets done with less hiccups .
  2. Of the other tickets listed " wind blown " is a very useful one to have . This more relevant in a forestry environment but after the recent storms it could come in handy . People can get injured from cutting wind blown if they are not aware of the tensions and compressions that can be generated in a tangle of timber .
  3. MS 400 because of the great reviews , this from a Husqvarna man .
  4. Morning all and happy Wednesday back ! Frost again here .
  5. Seasoning is allowing the sap to come out of the wood so that is no longer " green " If seasoned logs become wet from rain they will dry out much quicker that un seasoned logs . So covered but with a gap above the stack allowing the air to flow . Logs ( some more than others ) will absorb moisture from the ambient air . Say you get m/c down to 12% in the summer it may well come back up to 18% in the winter due to the moisture content of the air . This cant really be helped if air drying . Not a big problem .
  6. Probably been said above but ....Rain off , air flow through . Simples
  7. Its looking more and more like Lucey Letby is innocent of murder after several medical experts could find no evidence of murder in any of the babies . Possible huge miss carriage of justice .
  8. Good morning all . Hard frost . Computer says 2c but truck say 0c ice on windscreen . .
  9. Well ....Happy Sunday folks . Hard frost 0c calm and clear .
  10. Without all the above it could also be considered criminal damage .
  11. Think I was told/taught it years back but can't remember by who ...
  12. Bulbs are set off by the cold . If it didn't get cold they would not come up .
  13. A flat bladed spade . shove it up as far as you can then grab the bottom and pull and sometimes it comes off in a big sheet .
  14. Morning troops . Happy Saturday !
  15. Not sure where I read it first ( it was at the beginning of the week ) just did a search and the first one that popped up was from the New York Times butt they are not alone .
  16. North Korean troops withdrawn from the front line after suffering catastrophic losses . Estimates say about half of the deployed number have been killed or wounded . Some have been captured also . Not been seen now for about two weeks .
  17. All day long ! 🙂
  18. I agree to an extent but some times they are too quick to be able to be arsy let alone polite and at the end of the day you can have all the signs , cones , tape and barriers you like . If you kill someone you are still liable .
  19. Morning Doug , morning all . 4c and heavy showers here .
  20. Picture this . (UK) Drop zone . coming out from each side . Big red and white plastic barriers , cones then foot path closed sign . Bloke jogging ignores the foot path closed sign , dodges the cones then vaults the red and white barrier . Jogs on through the "kill " zone goes to vault the next plastic barrier , catches his foot , trips and face plants . Picks himself up jogs on round the cones and the other foot path closed sign . I take my hat off and throw it on the ground in disbelief . Luckily I had shouted up to Steve in the tree about the suicidal idiot . No one likes to be inconvenienced and would rather risk their life than go out of their way by a couple of yards .
  21. Doughnuts and tea bags .
  22. Who would be the beneficiary in the will ?
